Corgan also killed the Pumpkins through sheer arrogance. Probably some speed too inflating his ego! Rate BJS highly, but unsure he'd even clean out middle, super would be a challenge despite his great footwork and speed... power kills at weight.
Hearn needs to up his game, those simple pick up lines might get him lucky here and there. However, he needs more clout and power to get someone of BJS Elite status. If Hearn was the most powerful promoter in the USA, then it might be an Upgrade for BJS, but switching from a local handler to another serving the same insular British clientele is just an unnecessary change, not an upgrade...
ive lost track of the amount of posts on this site that start off... firstly, let me tell you how much i hate eddie hearn and think hes the worst human being to have ever lived, so with that in mind obviously what im about to say is completely objective and unbaised however... wow, what a brilliant business man and promoter the best in the whole universe who never does anything wrong has made boxing so accessible (by taking it all to PPV and subscription cable with news corp money) and puts on such great events (stadiums full of pissed up casuals paying for tickets he scalps himself through s*** h**) and all fighters should sign with him he is the saviour of boxing! im beginning to think mick hennessy was right when he accused matchroom of having a whole army of online bots and trolls shilling hard for them with sky money.
Don't be too harsh on him, he has the best theme tune of any of the promoters. This content is protected
I gotta say I was hesitant at first but after watching and seeing a bunch of footage I'm on the bandwagon for sure! Dude is great man and at 160 now I definitely give him a chance
You don't think people can dislike someone's personality whilst having a begrudging respect for their achievements? Did I enjoy the likes of Froch Bute and AJ Wlad? Yes. Would I ever agree to go for a beer with Hearn? No.
I don't know much about the Smashing Pumpkins outside of owning some of their albums and digging their music. I saw Corgan on the Joe Rogan podcast and he seemed like a cool and interesting guy on that. But he's obviously older, wiser and sober now. I was only playing about BJS 2.0 beating CWs. I think he could definitely win a title up at SMW and at a stretch he could probably do so up at LHW too against the right opponent even though he would be very undersized at that weight. But I stress it would have to be the right opponent ie. a weak LHW.
