Ye but billy and frank are sayin show me the money and that they have heaps of options and then billy asking murray if he fights at MW...Matchroom are not interested in franks games..no one is..billy either fights someone for a small 400k or 3 million...simples
Why should a world champion be able to avoid people? For your second point, who at his weight challenges that? the two people he's trying to fight this year are the other two world champions...
I have been following boxing for years, but i didn't know that. I can't remember the last time i took much notice of the governing bodies.
David Lemieux won his title in June-ish time 2015 and his first defense would GGG in October time, to answer your first question. But I get the jist, it's a rarity. And I for one wouldn't begrudge him a defense or two this year and showdown with GGG in November 2016.
I'm pretty sure Lemieux and his team thought the money too good to turn down, and he also had a bit of momentum going and probably wanted to keep the ball rolling. For what its worth, i think Lemieux honestly fancied his chances against Golovkin, whereas most simply hope they can find a way.
Agreed. BJS would run rings around Murray and outbox him. But I also agree with others, 5-6M for a fight with GGG is a ludicrous offer to suggest
Don't shoot me for saying this and I'm not claiming BJS would beat GGG but he does give him problems. Triple G is a master of footwork, as we all know, and great at cutting off the ring and getting into range. But BJS is excellent in that department too and also very good at keeping out of range - I think he'd make GGG miss more than we've seen in the past. Ultimately, I think he would just run out of gas and get stopped but, for a few rounds at least, I reckon he'd be reasonably competitive. *waits for dog's abuse from GGG fans*
Why would I shoot you for having an opinion? I'm a big fan of both fighters. I could definitely see BJS causing Golovkin some problems early on, but like you say though, BJS starts off fast and then loses gas after 6 rounds. A Triple G (T)KO is all but inevitable here.
