Who's going to keep believing these drug cheats? Canelo's excuse was tainted beef, and now Ol' Fish eyes saying it was just Nasal Spray everything's fine move on etc...What on earth is going to be the next excuse? It's damaging the sport of boxing.

This is a joke why make these things banned if people can just use any stupid excuse. Canelo with the meat, BJS nasal spray, Ortiz with the blood pressure medicine and Hughie with Boar entrails.

I'm sorry but contaminated meat is a legitimate excuse for accidental ingestion in Mexico. It's been recognized by WADA and other organizations like the NFL as a legitimate problem in Mexico that causes positive drug tests when you eat the meat in that country. However, this is the first I've heard of a "nasal spray" excuse and I'm interested to know if other fighters have used this as an excuse in the past.

Canelo took a Hair follicle test and provided receipts to places he purchased meat from. Will BJ do the same?

well he might not have to considering he looks to be getting off the hook since it wasn't an "in competition" test. of course neither was Canelo's but that didn't stop him from getting suspended and being called a cheat lol.

There's a big difference though - it actually makes no difference how BJS ingested the substance he took, because it is not a banned substance out of competition. He could take it however he likes - like in the form of a dietary supplement, which it is common in - and it would not be an issue provided he was not using it in competition.

Clen on the other hand is strictly prohibited in and out of competition.

Maybe not totally but the witch hunt VADA is doing is a little much, I say it should be enough to pass the fight night test.

As if nasal spray and tainted meat are new reasons for failing a drug test. It just goes to show how clueless people around here actually are when it comes to this issue. Neither guy is a cheat, get a life losers.

Yawn. You can't claim something to be a widespread problem and also give a professional with a large team behind him a pass for it. If it's such a well known problem then he should of known better than to get caught out by it.

Anyway, this nasal spray excuse seems like more BS to me and after the flak he was giving Canelo it's an incredibly embarrassing development. Any word on the spray he claims caused the test? Can it be bought over the counter?
