They might give him Smith but Canelo and Andrade will fight each other before he gets a shot at either Smith will whoop him too
Despite being about all these years all we have to go on is our assumption that BJS is this boxing wizard that'll dance rings around top top tier opponents. Look at his resume and remind yourself that there is nothing to substantiate this.
I think he had enough skill to beat them all I just worry his time off has been detrimental. That and I think he needs to be at middleweight
The Andrade fight at middleweight is an interesting fight for BJS , not sure if he wins it . I think he first of all needs some quick tune ups say 2 fights in next 6 months before it. He needs regular ring time.
I think he needs to get straight in there and fight these guys. It's really interesting at MW/SMW at the moment because there are some awesome fights that could be made. Canelo, Andrade, Smith, Saunders - all in their prime. GGG who's past prime but still a very capable fighter. These fights need to happen in the next 2 years before the landscape changes again - I wouldn't want to see him fighting tuneups. He's been doing that for most of his career.
Beats Andrade fairly comfortably, beats Canelo but loses a decision, up on the cards v Smith before being stopped. Think a Ryder rematch will come before two of those though. Drug cheat though, so **** him, hope he loses all of them
As it stands, BJS has had a much much better career than CEJ. Saunders will never have the profile that Junior has, so if that’s what he’s judging success by then yes, casual boxing fans will only really know of Saunders by affiliation with beating Junior.
Lets be honest here BJS has bigger fish to fry. Eubank Jr can go and make a defence of his IBO title instead.
If anyone wants to see a great example of shadow boxing, they should watch Junior in the first 6 rounds of his fight with BJS.
The BJS that beat Lemieux has a good chance against all 3. Needs to get a move on. He's not a boxer who's career will go long.
