I've just watched a replay of the Saunders-Lemoo bout. I make no bones about it: I despise Saunders' loudmouthed, classless, punk ass, taunting, scumbag personality. He's the Donald Trump of boxing.

His win last night was well deserved, but take a minute to review his style:
Slapping punches: Joe Calzaghe in the later stage of his career. While GGG demolished Lemoo, Saunders slaps didn't physically hurt the Canadian but definitely Rigo-fied him into desperation.

Running: I was reminded of Hector "Macho" Camacho's "Bicycle" style...jab, jab, run, run. Effective against someone who is unable (either because of the opponents skill or lack of his own skill) to cut off the ring.

Note that I'm not criticizing BJS's boxing ability in a negative manner. He can win a lot of fights using these methods. It's just that it makes him more easy to dislike. And really that's a recipe for big money fights: people will pay to watch him hope he gets beat.

I saw the knuckle area of Billy's glove crash into Lemieux's goofy kisser plenty enough last night.

He bears a bit of resemblance to Joe in other ways, though.

BJs more accurate than joe but lower work rate. And he hits harder too.

Also BJ has won his major title 6 years ahead of Calzaghe, he is way ahead of Joe in that respect, althougn to be fair most British world champs are well ahead of Joe who was a notorious late starter career wise.

    BJS hurt DL.

More than just slaps on a few occasions. He broke his nose ffs.

It was a boxing masterclass and DL post fight interview was a disgrace.

You wait till his son starts punching for pay. Check him out hitting the pads on YT, kid's going to be even better than his old man and annoy the hell out of the haters of slick gypsies ten times as much. He won't be taking any **** of our cousins across the pond either.. I loved the way he sent out this warning to Willie Monroe that he better not try and pull a Ward vs Kovalev II on his pops.

    Don't mess with Steve.

He is the type of kid who will ruin your whole summer vacation.

No one will ever think you are criticising then by saying they're a mixture of calzaghe and camacho
