I hope so mate! Would be amazing for Saunders to do it, it would be one of the best performances by a British fighter ever, up with Honeygan / Curry, Turpin / Robinson and in modern times Fury / Klitschko.

Don't forget Laing, he went over to Detroit and beat an already ATG wth several top years still ahead of him.

Id be pretty shocked if it doesn't go 12
Saunders has a great chin and he will still be moving 12 rounds. What are the odds?

Canelo is a big puncher but his stoppages over 160 seem to be accumulation, not 1 punch KO's
Likes of Fielding and Yildirim just quit because they were out classed they weren't really beaten up.

The Kovalev fight always seemed weird, I suppose he did the job but Kova looked like he wanted to lie down before the big combo.

If you can make the money back for the Saunders points from the goes the distance and over 9 rounds I think its solid

I give Saunders about a 10%-20% chance, would be a bit higher if the judges weren't paid off,

I might give him a 30%-40% chance in absolutely neutral conditions

Canelo will land with a relative ease that will surprise many as BJS supposed defensive mastery suddenly won't stand up to Canelo's elite level accuracy and decent one punch speed. This is a very routine victory.

I see this being very one sided and Canelo getting the stoppage between 5-8 rounds. Too good and in his prime. Weight class far better suited to him also.

This thread could be quite interesting to look back on post fight, I really think that BJS is going to surprise a lot of people. This is the kind of fight he's been wanting and getting bored waiting for and all of the negativity around it is probably going to work in his favour, mentally. I honestly think that people like Saunders need to feel like everything is stacked against them to focus and perform to the best of their ability.

He struggled with Chris Eubank Junior, for god sake.

He's in over his head with Canelo.

People overrate Alvarez so much, as if he's some unstoppable machine. He's really lost a bunch of times and looked **** against the ghost of Kovalev. One of the most corrupt boxers in history.

If Saunders has the stamina, he could outbox Alvarez to a UD loss. But that's a big if.

Mr Brixton, you never seem to respond to a point with an argument, just an ad-hominem or straw man fallacy.

It's 100% evident what and who you're in love with, but I'll leave it at that.

I have been watching boxing long enough.to understand that going on previous performances and current form Canelo is a very very strong favourite however.......

Just because saunders hasn't fought anybody of Canelo's level or hasn't looked brilliant in his last couple of fights it doesn't mean he isn't good enough to do it.....

The verdict by everybody before fury went over to germany was basically..... fury has no chance, Klitschko is on a different level,.fury has fought nobody, he struggled with a cruiserweight in Cunningham so he has no chance, he has no chin, he is slow etc etc etc....

He wont be able to outbox him, Klitschko will knock him out as soon as he lands.... fury is just all mouth and is going to get embarrassed even though for years and years he told people he could beat the very best and at the time the p4p number 1..... everybody laughed

    What happened??

This is the exact same situation , saunders has been telling us for years he can beat Canelo....

Maybe like fury he knows far more than we all think we do.

Far from it. But what has BJS showed in the last two years that he will beat the P4P best right now? Fire away...

Fury got knocked down by cunningham , then beat a poor hammer but then went and schooled the pound for pound number 1 in Klitschko, its boxing past performances mean nothing it all down to the night and ability, Saunders has the ability to box his ears off whether he does it in front of 70000 screaming Mexicans is another thing....

You cant compare fights like for like such as you did the eubank fight completely different stage of careers, weights, grudge match, fitness etc it means nothing
