Is anyone really excited about this fight ? I will probably watch it but another pointless fight to add to Saunders resume.

I've also noticed Eddie seems to be using the same fighters over and over to fill the undercards since lockdown , with the amount of fighters he has on his books thought we might have seen some of his more high profile fighters out by now ?

I am looking forward to it. I love watching Murray. He’s a proper throwback, hard as nails and scared of no man. He will give it his all come what may. If any one deserves a roll of the dice, it’s Martin Murray.

Billy Joe has promised a 'master class' so expecting he has not trained properly and will scrape a close decision. Have to wait and see which BJS turns up.

If Billy thinks this is going to be an easy night and has trained accordingly than I think Murray can do it.

A peak Billy obviously wins easily vs current Murray

Peak for peak I think Murray is a bit of a stylistic nightmare for Billy.
Good work rate and very tough, I think he would have given him Hell

He'd make Billy work all night and we know he hasn't got the best gas tank.

Murray is better than Coceres and definitely tougher, no way could Billy come close to stopping Murray.

I think this fight at 168 definitely favours Murray
@ 168 Billy can make weight pretty effortlessly, so doesn't even need to train hard lol

Another pointless fight for a man wasting his best years.

When was this first supposed to happen 2016/17. Murray was slow as anything then. He has next to no chance for me, he doesn’t even punch hard.

Can’t help but agree with that. I really like Murray but he’s way way past his best now, can only see a UD for Saunders in an absolute snore fest. Although I’d love to be proved wrong

Long past his best, probably by about 5 years. Technically, Murray was very good but the criticism of him in his prime was that he was just conservative in his punch output, coupled with not being a big puncher, it meant that he didn’t often stop opponents. He was/is a hard man but he was no Micky Ward either, his fights were often not very exciting. Apart from against Groves & Golovkin, he didn’t ship many heavy shots in his career.

This will be a borefest unfortunately.

I think the press conference at least will be fairly spicy. Murray hates Saunders after the previous fights fell through.
