Yeah I must admit I bet on boxing with my eyes wide open, no point trying to second guess anything like that. If the odds look decent, I’m on it.

The Martinez and Abraham decisions were harsh on Murray, that can't be forgotten. I'm no Murray fan but I'd argue that he deserved to be a World Champion at the end of either of those fights.

Ok but one question....If you believe that he was that good why are you so quick to say you're not a fan of his?

I noticed that, without looking at the odds. Certainly after Murray had gone down (though it wasn't counted) it was clear that when BJS stepped up and let his hands go he was hurting Murray and certainly capable of forcing the stoppage. Then, inexplicably, he was told to take rounds off by his corner and was happy to do so. After 10 it became clear that Saunders had no interest in stopping Murray and Murray had no interest in going out on his shield.

I was gutted. I chucked a few quid on Saunders to stop him and thought Moore would pull his man out. In my head I was going to use the winnings to then lump on Arthur the following night.

I was never really excited by Murrays style, especially towards the end of his career and was never overly bothered about watching him but he did enough to win both of the fights I've mentioned, I think that's widely agreed with too, Martinez wasn't himself that night and Murray upped his game, Abraham got favoured heavily and the cards led to Murray saying that he'd never fight in Germany again if I remember rightly.

I certainly felt a corner stoppage was coming until Jamie Moore probably realised that Saunder's had decided to have a nap.

I didn't bet anything on the BJS / Saunders but managed to back Lyndon Arthur at 4/1 which was a nice treat for the weekend. I also backed Tottenham who were bizarrely slightly above evens on Sunday vs Arsenal.

Just got round to watching the full fight last night. Few good moments from Billy but far from an exciting fight.
On to the next I suppose. Like many others, still waiting on him facing a big opponent.
