BJS v Nick blackwell

Pointless this if you ask me IF it does go ahead.

They've fought one another before, BJS has the belt outright & they've sparred COUNTLESS rounds with one another... what exactly is the point?

To answer your question literally, I suppose the point is that Nick Blackwell has earned and thoroughly deserves another shot at the British title. Its unfortunate that its not a 'fresh' fight, I know, but thats not Nicks fault.
I guess its not his fault all the history between these two that you correctly mention. He just cant be denied his shot I guess. So ....viola....Nick gets another shot at BJS.....????

Besides BJS cant wait on Andy. He cant be expected to remain inactive just cos Andy Lee is trying to negotiate a big name fight with Peter Quillin and trying to make a few quid while he is champ....

 

Yeah I know what your saying, Blackwell has rightly earned his shot... but what I'm getting at is why is BJS going through with it?

What has he got to gain? He's fought him once before, Blackwell is more of a high risk/low reward fight, he's won the belt outright etc.

BJS would surely be better off dropping the British title and pursuing another fight, ideally one that is very winnable yet would raise his profile further, before going in with Andy Lee.

BJS should vacate, then nb v CEJ for the vacant.
