Abit of talk about this one happening. BJS wants it for his next fight back and does not want to go anywhere near a Eubank Jr rematch. Who wins if this happens?
Liam Smith is a limited fighter, no special effects, and a small 160lber. But you have to say this version of Saunders is likely a shot fighter, can he even make 160 without a canelo size payday? Smith all day if this gets made.
Smith would win. BJS at his best was better, but Smith would not do this fight above 160. BJS would be weak as a kitten if he somehow made MW at this stage.
Much depends on Billy Ho's fitness since he's ballooned onto a blob (last time I saw him anyway). A fit Billy Ho is a bit too slick and awkward i fear for Beefy. Boring pts win.
Would be very silly for Saunders to go straight into a Smith fight. He became very very fat after the Canelo fight. Like pretty much obese from the photos that were flying about. Can only see Smith winning and Saunders gassing out if it’s his next fight. If Saunders takes two or three tune ups it will tell us more about whether he can get back to the levels required to beat Smith.
I could only see a Smith win. He's in good form, fighting regularly enough, didn't take any damage last time out and has a fantastic coach and relationship with Joseph McNally. On the other side BJS is coming back from a loss, albeit against Canelo. He's probably been abusing his body in the meantime, to the point that one camp wouldn't be enough to undo the damage. I don't think he can come back and be anywhere near his best after this latest break. Would fancy Smith putting it on him and maybe BJS not having the heart for boxing anymore being the deciding factor. Would like this fight to be made though, Boxxer seem to be delivering for Beefy and its well deserved.
I think IF Saunders fights again he's going to look absolutely shot. His heavy booger sugar habit that I've heard about more than once have to catch up on him eventually.
Very true re the special sugar habit. And even if he drops the weight he must feel effects of being out of the ring so long.
Hard to say, Normally I'd pick BJS to win on points, but God knows what condition he's in since the Canelo fight nearly two years ago. Smith would put the pressure on and make him work, might need a few rounds in a tune up before taking that fight.
Don't see it. Smith asked weight on instagram and Saunders said 168. Can't see smith going up but who knows...
Sanders is well past prime now, no way can he come back like Fury, he doesnt hold a size advantage and is in a deeper pool of talent. Smith would beat him i think. A few years ago Saunders would UD Smith.
Never going to happen, Saunders just generating headlines. He probably weighs 190 right now, no way he comes back to 160.
