Trout has adapted much better to BK than I thought he would. Hats off to the guy. I'd like to see him against Mike Perry or Eddie Alvarez next.
This content is protected Trout toyed with him and is now the BKFC Welterweight champ. With the talent pool as shallow as it is, I doubt anyone is going to take that belt from him in the coming years, despite his age. I am happy for Trout. Found a nice little niche for him and a way to make some good money.
BKFC made their debut on DAZN last night and Trout defended his 165lb belt for the first time vs Ricardo Franco. Trout schooled him for the most part. Rico pressed the issue in the 5th and landed some good punches, which was the only round he landed something clean. But Trout took control in the last 50 seconds and punished Rico for his aggression. Rico drops to 9-3 in bareknuckle and Trout improves to 3-0 These 2 minute rounds benefit Trout given his age. And the gap in experience and class shows too. Trout is in a league of his own in this sport. This content is protected This content is protected I think Trout is going to end up beating Palominos 6 consecutive title defense record at 155.
Trout and Palomino had a rematch, this time at 155. Of course Trout once again won, and he is now going to face some dude name Franco Tenaglia for the vacant Lightweight belt. Trout is going to win again, and become a two division champ. Dude is speed running this sport. This content is protected
I never envisioned a 40 year old austin trout dominating bkfc lol. But Im glad a boxer is representing the sport well there. Wonder how much hes getting paid. Id assume its much higher than what boxing is offering him, for him to put himself through that. Would be interesting to know. Id have figured an aged fighter like him would prefer taking a bit less to fight with gloves.
Trout has rejuvenated his career in the BKFC ring. I don't see anybody beating him bare knuckle, Palomino was the only one with a chance of beating him and Trout went 2-0 against him.
