The whole Card looks quite decent with Liam Smith getting a world shot & Terry Flanagan making his first defence. but the fight I am looking forward to most is Luke Blackledge's first defence of the Commonwealth 168 title - in with Lee Markham. Two come forward fighters both with good engines & massive hearts - I see a points win for Blackledge after riding a late storm.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Markham take this, though neither are going to go on to do great things.
I'd say the British is very achievable for either, considering Cal Smith & Rocky aren't going to be sticking around at that level. Then who knows, look at Paul Smith fighting for two world titles on the back of a domestic career..
You mean on the back of his promoter being mates with another promoter. And then a second fight because of 1 dodgy scorecard.
And what's to say that Blackledge or Markham wont get the same treatment with F.W promoting them? similar to Liam Smith. or even Frank Buglioni.....
This is what we as fans want... the fact one person said Markham stops him and the next said Blackledge stops him that says it all...!!!
