I didn't see anything to suggest that Blackwell had any chance of a win after round 3 and I scored every round to CEJ throughout the fight. All this pony about Blackwell not being hurt aswell....WTF, he got hit with a 20 punch barrage without any reply in the seventh, of course because he was just taking the round off. I feel that there were several moments in the fight from the seventh round onwards where Lockett would have been justified in throwing in the towel and I felt that way while watching the fight. There were times where Blackwell looked completely shell shocked and some of his responses in the corner late on proved that out. Brave, brave man and real shame he won't grace a boxing ring ever again.

The first 3 rounds were competitive, from then on eubank dominated. I was watching at a family bday party, a niece who is not a fan of boxing were saying 'omg he is being hit too many times' , 'his face is a mess'.

Blackwell were taking far too many shots and there wasnt much spike left in his punches from round 6 or so. He is too brave a warrior for his own good, so he should be in the boxing game. I take issue with his corner for not pulling him out after the 7th round or 8th latest, he had nothing left and were just taking punishment. I think they made the wrong call not to stop the fight then, thinking eubank would get tired and hopefully taking him out, but their man is the one who is well tired and took a beating. Eubank did not take a lot of shots and going by his previous records, isn't likely to gas. Unless you are really bias, anyone watching it could see blackwell had little hope to win the fight and were taking a lot of punishment.

We all hope Nick will wake up in the next few days and restore to full health.
