Why even show up anymore? Here was a chance to scoop up a 'world title belt' (albeit the lightly regarded IBO - but for Green at this stage that's low enough hanging fruit to nourish his floundering vegan ass) but he gluts on tofu and loses it on the scales, and then naps in the locker room during the co-feature and throws a tantrum when roused.

I take it back. He never did rouse.

Zero effort.

 

The reason Kessler got (some, within reason) kudos for knocking him out is precisely because Green actually did put forth effort for once. When he does that, he is vaguely dangerous to just about everyone. When he doesn't, which is most often, he is as beatable as a bowl of eggs.

 

In the co-main event, which came on unexpectedly early (before my arrival to work :twisted, Czar Amonsot knocked out Stevi Ferdinandus in 10 rounds.

Surprisingly, by all reports I missing nothing worthwhile as it was universally decried as being a lousy, ugly, dirty match. The main event was somewhat boring and one-sided but everybody who saw Amonsot vs. Ferdinandus found it far worse and nigh unwatchable. That is disappointing. Amonsot is usually exciting and generally clean to my recollection, but I guess there were more low blows and wrestling than clean legal punches this morning. :conf

 

I still can't bring myself to be anything but happy for Amonsot to keep finding success...by hook or by crook...
