AJ has never fought evolved modern superfat midget before. how many evolved modern superfat midgets did fury wilder aj ever fight.oh no,sorry the argument of an idiot, that is.
Ruiz is a danger to everyone in the HW division if he maintains his present form. The guy has seemingly upped his game and whole outlook, signed with PBC and confidently stepped in to fight Joshua when the chance came up. He fancied the job. I'm not sure a rematch next for AJ is the right course of action, but they'll probably take it. AJ at 100% might win a rematch on home turf, but he needs to use his height and reach advantage, box smarter and use the jab, and clinch when he needs to. Joshua needs to add facets to his game and it's easier said than done in just a few months though. I think his chin and stamina are weaknesses and Ruiz keeps the pressure on you. He definitely can not trade up close with Ruiz. Ruiz's shorter arms and fast, heavy hands give him the advantage close-up and he looks to have a solid chin. AJ put him down in the first fight and got caught himself trading up close. He knows not to do that next time. Ruiz is a fighter full of confidence and wasn't intimidated by Joshua in the least last time, so assuming Andy trains right, keeps level headed and brings the warrior attitude, it's likely going to be a tough fight for AJ again.
The video above makes the point that AJ keeps his head exposed during flurries - a very hard habit to break. Ruiz will nail him again and again.
I can’t think of any instances where a heavyweight champion was comprehensively beaten and stopped and then came back and won the rematch. There are various one shot knockouts where the title changed hands or instances where the champion gassed and won the rematch, but no thorough beat downs that I can remember.
Ruiz will know he can take AJ's best punch. He is not going to be scared taking 1-2 punches to land his 5-6 punch combinations and AJ cannot deal with what he can't see combined with his poor chin. He is also going to be scared to engage knowing his opponents superior counter punching abilities. From Hearns perspective, the rematch is justified, from the fighter's perspective the rematch is a bad idea, he is better of spending time in the gym, changing his trainer, methods of training and fighting style to protect that chin, rectifying his flaws and taking some easy fights to rebuild confidence for the sake of his boxing career and putting his purses aside for now. Let's see how much Eddie Hearns really cares about his fighter now as everyone keeps claiming he is one of the few unique promoters out there who truly does.
If you REALLY believe that NEVER let me see you call yourself a boxing fan AGAIN!!!! Youre just a troll
