Couldn't agree more! In most commercial businesses if the customers vote with their feet (ie they choose not to turn up) the service soon improves.

The pity is here is, we never seem to get served up anything better, and if you want to stay interested, you have to settle for 3rd best!

IMO many of the title fights staged here are absolutely deplorable. You only have to look at the poor records of most of the overseas challengers for some of these Mickey Mouse titles on offer. The long red stripe next to many of the challenger's name in BoxRec should be warning enough!

....Marcus, sounds like the list of poor match-ups is the reaction to a fans willingness to view it...... just for the sake of watching a reasonable champ in action.

If a donkey ran in the Melbourne cup, some dickhead would still back it.... Donkeys seem to be frequenting the fight game, just to keep 'champs' active....

Marcus I love you ranga. My point is that Duddy is a ****ing joke. Hatton tests himself but had 40 million fights before that. And i suspect we won't see Pavlik have a meaningful fight for a while

Well Hatton has fought decent opposition since he met kostya ( inc) ,

Calzaghe was a solid recognised champion and had unified his entire weight division before moving up in weight to claim the ring mag L/heavy title v Hopkins before he cashed in by promoting himself via a decent paying PPV v Roy , we won't mention the Evans Ashire "Fight" or even the PMJ "Fight as i did attend these two fight ( in protest )

Pavlik had then already had a few decent scraps with Taylor x 2 , Miranda & Hopkins before he fought Rubio so gets a pass imo .

Green ? Well he did win a legit WBA L/heavy title and had a bonified excuse to have gone for the cash if he had fought Mundie straight after it or made his Mand defence .

Well you know my thoughts on the best there has ever been , Choc deseves to keep milking his fans pockets dry via PPV because as i said he's the best there has ever been ..

As for the Krauts ? , Best i keep tight lipped about them and the Nips Mate . but i do see your point ..:yep

lol Yep , Calzaghe drawing in 35,000 fighting Manfredo was a mental state of affairs , i voted with my feet but sadly 35,000 of my countryman didn't see it my way :-(
