Will this go down as the highlight of Haye's heavyweight campaign ? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnOANul82Tw&feature=related[/ame] April 2008.
Wlad is all class in this video - civilsed - respectful - calm - reasonable - well edcuated - and well dressed. Haye is a desperate man in this video.
Haye shows that he is all talk with no intention of backing up his big mouth. If he never fights Wlad then this clip should haunt him.
Haye looked sooo desperate there it was pitiful. Dressed like some toe rag and talking a whole load of **** as if he really wanted the fight. And that looks like Excel Arena. Didnt know Vlad came there?
This entire moment was brilliant, you had David Haye an upstart who had taken out a good champion in J.M. Mormeck and looked impressive taking out an average champ in Macca going up to the number one guy (who at that time, had hit wall in terms of being flat) and daring him to take him on. At the time, i believe Haye could have taken Vlad out, Vlad was going through a bad spell....maybe it was lack of competition....Ibragimov, Thompson and Rahaman were all ordinary fights for Vlad where he looked tentative, unsure and took far to much time taken lesser fighters out. Haye was getting better, and better.......i had watched him from fighting Solis in the amatuers to him making his pro debut on sunday bbc programe taking out the respected jorneman Tony Booth in a style that no other had done. He was taking on all comers, dangerous tasks etc...his attitude refreshing and honest. His setback against Thompson was more Haye underestimating Carl than Carl being better. Fast forward 2 years from April 2008......and Vladimir has improved by far, taking out Chagaev and Chambers who are both better than Thompson and past it rahaman. Whilst he is still tentative....his boxing abilty, spacial awareness, ring savy and experience is there to be seen. He is boxing much better. Meanwhile i feel Haye had stayed at the same level, if not regressed....his punches have become more sloppy, the Haye around Mormeck and Macca would have stopped Valuev and Ruiz quicker.....the hype, the fame ( he was unknown 2 years ago) has from what i can see taken the eye of the tiger from him. Dosent help that he is fighting once or twice a year. So now we look at that confronatation as nothing more than a barking dog, which is why there is a backlash towards haye and i dont blame people for that.
to be fair at that point I think Haye really would of done anything to fight him, its been since he won the title he's become reluctant
The pull outs was when I realised he was full of chocolate. Surprised it took people so long to figure out his motive tbh.
The guy is a disgrace who went quiet and now is suddenly coming out once both the Klits got bored and signed other fights.
There is no fear in Wladimir Klitschko...!! Just imagine if this was back in the day, and Lennox Lewis did this to Kiltschko or Mike Tyson or Riddick Bowe..???? I don't think David Haye is intimidating at all, i would confront him. Nahh seriously i used to like David Haye back then, and i liked the way he would wear that jacket. Ive seen him wearing it afew times, even before he fought Valuev.
Well, Klitschko actually gave him exactly what he asked for, and the fight was set for June 20, 2009 - in Germany when Haye failed to come up with the Chelsea stadium. .... and Haye pulled out of that fight ! Wlad was there on the night .... fighting Chagaev. Those are the facts.
