    With all due respect has a champion ever landed more punches, power punches and scored a knockdown and lost his belts before this fight?

    I've never put much stock in compubox, even back in the days when they showed Golota put up some viciously insane power numbers against Bowe. Besides boxing matches aren't strictly scored on total punches landed - they're scored on a round by round basis, and this was a fight that had many close and competitive rounds. And fights with lots of close rounds tend to be close fights, and I believe that's exactly what we had here.

    I could never see Ali landing more punches, power punches and scoring a knockdown and losing a unanimous decision (especially holding the title). That is not even including the head butts and wrestling charges and grabs that were never called on Ward.

    Not at all Rummy I like to see the best man on the night legitimately get the win. Be honest my friend you know as well as I do corruption is rife in boxing. I have my friends & fighters I admire its true but if any of those got a gift decision I'd be the first to tell them they got lucky

    I believe it is beyond any doubt that Kovalev won the fight. One needs Paulie Malignaggi's imagination to see it otherwise.

    Personally (sorry for interrupting) the punches landed weren't significant enough to mask the trend going on in the ring as the rounds progressed the fight was simply turning more into a story written by Ward and not Kovalev despite his early success that set the bar for him based on his early success. The punch stats never tell the true story and in this fight the difference was as trivial as it gets....hard to use that data and even have a legit conversation defending robbery.

    Guys it's been a week now and can we just cut the BS and...



















    All agree that Sergey Kovalev won that fight and Ward IS NOT the best light heavy in the world.

    What we do know now is Ward ain't peerless anymore. Kovalev dominated the first half of that fight and it took incompetent judging to stem the Kovalev freight train...

    Once p4p King Ward tkos Kova in the rematch via body shots, Super Pimp can get it too. 8)
