It really won't be a hurtful loss for him. Everyone knows it was complete nonsense anyway and rank him accordingly.

As I understand it the WBC declined to give Lorenzo the belt. So the need for Soto to fight Lorenzo again is nil.

i really dont think so bro...i know your thinking logical and all, but this is boxing....soto would've probably just faced a tough mandatory within 6 months....now, i really do believe he'll get a shot....and i'm not saying at a title (really, what do titles mean nowadays anyways), maybe against a quality opponent with no title.....

The DQ against Jones didn't hurt him one bit when he came back and knocked out Griffin in such a violent fashion. I say Soto needs to do the same, not necessarily Lorenzo, because he actually already beat the crap out of Lorenzo violently, but if he were to do the same to his next opponent, he will have definitely made a statement in the division. Maybe it will open up some doors for a big fight, or perhaps he will be considered big risk, low reward and will be avoided.

It was a fatality. See all that blood gushing out of Lorenzo's head. Guy's head got decapitated.

It shoulda been a TKO, but if not, then an NC with an immediate rematch would solve the problem.
