Roy Jones must've been a real shitty pro with no skills because he had an unorthodox style I guess. And countless others before him.

If everyone fought at an orthodox style, not only would boxing be boring, but also it would never evolve. This sport NEEDS pioneers to always keep the game fresh, and its players on their toes. Not saying that Pac is a pioneer of any sort, but his unorthodox, "amateurish abilities," skills you should never ever ever ever ever do in the ring (like Johnson and Ali dodging backward instead of laterally amirite) sure are taking a while to be beat consistently.

Andddd to be fair it doesn't have a lot to do with his unorthadox style, but all of these things are reasons why I'd pick floyd to beat manny, because I beleive Floyd (from the Marquez, Mosely, DLH fights) is more than intelligent enough a boxer, and quick enough to take advtantage of these things.

Also that manny obviously is troubled by counter-punchers/fighters who will run

Not sure on Floyds condition though after the Ortiz fight to be honest

It could be possible but you only have one sample (Mosley fight) that most people are looking at there, and he got shut out, with bad legs to boot.

Solis tried to stick and move and got KOed. Pac is good at forcing the messy fight when up against a textbook/outboxer approach.

 

Marquez?

No doubt he's good at forcing the fight, but most recently - Mosely, he wasn't able to, and Floyd is the best counterpuncher/boxer imo

 

Fact

 

Marquez fired back with plenty of volume for Pac to work with, which is so far one of the best blueprints to work for and against him.

Again, Mosley is just one fight, his legs didn't permit him to be as mobile as we normally saw him. We'll see for sure in Nov.

i agree with what you say first i had thought that manny can give mayweather a run for his money but after watching him and cotto i notice he does not know how to cut the ring whenever his cotto circle to his left and mosley did the same thing circled to his left but didn't make pac pay when he made him miiss so I do see mayweather beating him so just fight that version of pacquiao and he'll get praised more. if a fight with pac goes on but with his style testing and he beats pac it won't be fair to all the other that had lost to pac recently because then it raises more question like the question raised for cotto and margarito(did he used illegal hand wraps)
