Bob and Timmehs Commentary

    How would you rate Colonal Bobs and Timmehs commentating on the international feed this weekend.

    Or do i really not need to ask.

    Sticking Bob in with someone knowlegable, i see what they are trying to do, because Bob's strength is definetly his passion, he will make the most boring fight seem like Gatti Ward with his commentating.

    But weaknesses, even though he's been commentating for years, he didn't seem to know what to say. He spent the whole fight either talking about his scorecard, or talking about how the fight was that hard to score he's not going to talk about his scorecard.

    Timmeh was no help and barely said a word. SO much so that Bob had to say half way through the fight after not a peep from timmeh in a couple of mins. "You gonna help me out here Tim?"

    Bob scored the fight for DOnaire but admitted he found it hard. He seems a nice guy and i do love his passion. But he was very off his game this weekend. And Timmeh definetly don't belong in commentating. Ya know.

    I thought The Colonel was awful Saturday especially during the Main Event his bias towards Donaire was unbearable at times. I thought It was an odd match up there was zero chemistry between Tim & Bob and long pauses during the broadcast seemed to prove this.

    I watched norton v holmes recently he was on it he looked 50 odd then.

    How old is he?

    Col Bob had Donaire up in parts of that right, thats enough for me to say hes either biased or an idiot, either way get rid.

    i gotta admit i find most of the american commentators, come across as quite stupid and with bad knowledge, they sound like something from wwf in 90's.

    i always thought harry carpenter was best.

    My favourite part was when Sheridan said words to the effect of "help out Tim" after a huge silence between rounds.

    Surely Bradley knew he was there for 'analysis', rather than just to say "I gave that round to Rigondeaux." OK, thanks for that Tim, maybe want to tell us why you gave it to him?

    Colonel Bob loves to go with the house fighter and blow smoke up their ass...he has his favourites and will make the case for them. Also Toprank are probably the only promotion company who employ him now so he's going to make sure he sell's the fight for them and keep their man Donaire marketable. Bradley was just out of his depth commentating, would have been far better to have an ex boxer who wasn't promoted by Toprank or friends with Donaire.

    The HBO commentary was spot on and gave you much more intelligent coverage even though they went against Donaire who they've been building up the last few years to be a superstar.

    It's shocking how Bob Arum virtually disowned Rigo...making him out to be boring. He should have been doing the opposite and saying he's the P4P number 1, better then Mayweather, best boxer i've ever seen etc etc etc.

    That is why Sheridan gets the "International" commentating jobs.He is simply the worst in history and thank God he is not allowed on the air waves in North America.:tired
