He was clearly in charge of the Margarito fight, in the first 2/3. He was landing whatever he wanted, though, yes, he took some shots but nothing more than in the Mosley, Judah or especially the Torres fights, for instance.

I know he didn't win many rounds against Pacquiao but after round 4 or 5, he wasn't getting battered. He just wasn't. The 9th was the only round where you were thinking "ok, the fight should be over". It was one sided but be wasn't getting slaughtered.

The Hatton stoppages were more damaging to him. The manner of his defeat in both fights, made you wonder about his future. In the second loss, people were worried for his life. These were far worse than what Cotto took.

    Agreed.

I think people think about his face, the idea of hand wraps, the clean punches and assume he must have lost a step but looking at his performances, I don't see much physical change.

most of those people are trying to take credit away from Pac. But you know what, Pac destroys any version of Cotto. Take the version of Cotto that fought Judah, and Pac destroys him hands down.

    Styles make fights.

Yet another reason as to why Arum is the biggest POS in boxing.

This is people's lives you're talking about here. I realize business is business but Arum doesn't have to be such an ******* about it and could do it with more class.

Arum is not making Miguel do anything Miguel himself doesnt want to do, I dont think those two losses spell the end for Miguel Cotto, sure he took alot of punishment, but there are fighters who have done that before and have been fine comming back.

Against Pacquiao, I mean lets face it Manny is the best fighter in the world today, with Margarito that was more of a style mis match... Saturday will tell you or atleast show you how much Miguel has left,.....

Miguel does not have to continue fighting if he doesnt want to, but he made the choice to fight on... So let him.

Really he get's really damaged every time he fights.. Just look at his face when he fought Zab. Cotto looked as though he was in a life and death war with Zab. The fact that he has taken damaged in every fight after that fight..

Who? What fighters took serious beatings like that and came back? I mean the humility of the emotional beatings too. Like Barrera/Morales had wars but they were never so decisively beaten down by 2 different men in their own weightclass like Miguel was.

No they aren't, they're telling it like it is. Margarito beat the **** out of Cotto. And Cotto did not look very good against Clottey. If you want to say that Pac beats him regardless, that's fine. However, that Margo fight clearly took something out of Cotto.

I guess we might be getting "lost in translation", but when I say dominating I mean executing a game plan well and winning rounds. Not necessarily that the other guy looks like he has no chance.

Sure he was eating shots. Unfortunately, Cotto ALWAYS ate shots. However he was boxing well and dishing out far more than he was taking. Cotto ate shots versus Zab and Mosley.

Can't argue that he was getting broken down, however the reason for that will always be disputed.

Cotto should have left Arum... Now he is stuck with a guy who wants to take every penney until retirement and build his other fighters around Cotto. The only reason he is still with Margarito is more than enough to show how money is more important than anything. They would all be rush until their last day in boxing.

still found a way to criticize arum. You're a *****.

He knows how to make money for his fighters. Bottom line.

If cotto is shot, foreman might not be the one to expose that. He was winning the fight w/ margo, but you could see he was being broken down. He was competitive w/ pac until he tried to trade w/ him. After that 2nd kd it was a good beating, but not a career ender imo.
