Maybe a few people from Jennings' local area this is his big chance on a PPV card and will probably be his only/last chance also.I don't believe this will sell even 100K with the economy and all. There are alot of things you could spend $55 on as opposed to watching this shite!Anybody in UK know whether Setanta will be showing this card??

Did HBO agree to this? I just read a thread here saying that HBO doesn't want circus fights anymore.

We're getting this free in the UK, lovely.

Via the Top Rank feed if it goes ahead that is.

That is a terrible card although isn't that what Arum has been feeding us for 25 years? In the 1980's he would have beautiful main events like Hagler/Hearns and the fab four quality, but the undercards were terrible. Only with Hagler/Mugabi and Hearns/Shuler was it good with undercard fights, but that was to hype the rematch Tommy and Marvin were going to have. Arum always did that with fights. Don King put on better shows with good matchups. Arum protects his guys with easy fights.

Are you ****ing kidding me? That sounds like a bad joke. I can afford it, but if those fights are seriously going to be PPV, I am going to refuse to buy them on the basis of principle.

Neither of those fights are remotely PPV worthy. I hate PPV in general, it has been death to the sport. No fight should ever cost more than $20.

Typical Arum. Why in the hell would you pay that much for tune-up fights? These fights won't even get 150K in buys. I'm glad HBO has started to take notice and said no.

LOL. Come on homie, that Cotto/Jennings fight will be more of a massacre than the Gomez fight, Miguel Cotto is going to make a statement in this fight no doubt, if anything I think the Pavlik/Rubio fight will be tougher because Rubio is a much better opponent than Jennings is.
But I look forward to Cotto being the new WBO champion.:happy

Would you really be happy with him winning another vacant title by beating someone like Jennings?
