I think its laughable how Arum and Golden Boy came out for the past month 1/2 talking about how the negotiations are going smooth and that there is a gag order and **** but then Arum turns around and says that he never spoke to Golden Boy Promotions! He only spoke to a middle man that then spoke to Al Haymon! So all these mother****ers have been lying to us all!

So he now has another deadline of 10 days?

    Cheers m8.

I do part blame Arum tho. After they agreed not to negoiate in the press, that is all Top Rank have done, publically naming Margo and Cotto as possible opponents. And when the 'money clock' was posted, you knew PBF wouldn't sign as he would have seen it as an insult. Plus it was obvious he wasn't going to be in control of the situation which he couldn't handle. Arum should have shut up and let the deadline pass without all this political bollocks!

That said, hearing nothing from PBF regarding the biggest fight finacially in boxing history is surprising at best! And to just let the deadline pass without a peep is not only disrespectful to Pac, but disrespectful to his fans

Yep...Arum stated that he agreed not to negotiate with any other boxer until the deadline had passed...but like you said, every other day he was talking about Cotto or Margarito...about were these bouts could take place. Arum is a joke.

I knew Mayweather would most likely stay quiet until after this deadline...maybe we'll hear from him later. I wasn't going to defend Mayweather if he didn't agree, but it's all a bit confusing. Were they negotiating? Why didn't they have direct contact with eachother? Etc.

Exactly...I've just listened to a clearer version, and all Arum keeps saying is 'I assumed'. If your trying to put together the biggest bout in history, you don't assume all is going well...whether you are using a middle man or not. It seems as if he knew as much about the negotiations as we did. He said when he heard Oscar tell the press that negotiations were going well...he "assumed" it was close...yet goes on to say he knew Schaefer and Oscar hadn't been in any sort of direct contact with them...it's confusing...

It will be interesting to see if flloyd had any direct link to his negotiating team or if he told them to not agree to anything.

    Btw, great avatar!

Knowing Floyd...he will probably come out and say the "deadline" ruined it and I was willing, or am willing to sign in my own time. I'm my own boss, etc, etc...

Avatars cool, but I wanted an image of when De Niro is stomping on that Made guys head...couldn't find one though. :?

The whole thing is a farce. Arum and Mayweather have just slapped every boxing fan in the face with their conduct relating to all these negotiations. It's all just blatant marketing. Arum should stop holding these emergency press conferences at stupid times so he can inform millions of anticipating fans of...nothing...

And Floyd should just bloody say something...

Can't help but blame Mayweather when you see this entire grand scheme being perpetrated by Arum?

It is clear what Mayweather wants. USADA drug testing like the Mosley fight. Better than a 50% split due to the Clottey debacle. Anything less probably won't garner a response. Arum knows it. So Arum goes the other rout and bashes Mayweather in the press to set up, "Hey, it isn't my fault but I have to put together two of my own fighters."

Mayweather's fault? Right. You notice that the ONLY person talking about these negotiations from beginnging to now was... Arum.

Well I did actually write Mayweather AND Arum. And yes part of the whole farce is his fault. He's involved in an extremely lengthy negotiation process, in which time the only thing us fans are left to believe is what comes out of bloody Bob Arum's mouth. Surely that warrants some of our discontent to be placed upon Floyd? For the entire reason that he's allowed Arum to feed us his constant BS without so much as a sentence of clarification from himself...

Mayweather? Yes, hes got some blame in all this...

Honestly, maybe I can see where you come from as you are British(?) and you have decent media. In the States it is literally strange how anti-Mayweather our main sports channel, ESPN, is. They have been openly calling him a coward and then wondering why he won't talk to them?

I think we all know what Mayweather wants, +50% and USADA drug testing. I think we all know Arum didn't offer that. There honestly isn't much to say. Arum is killing this fight to have another Top Rank fight.

I dont think Floyd is scared as some claim. I just think his ego is just to big, and the same goes for Pacs team, so its both Mayweather and Pacs fault.

I wouldn't go as far as saying we have decent media, all I'm getting over here is the constant crap from Arum, but my entire point is that this point alone makes me pissed at Floyd.

Hes condemned all us fans to the word of Arum. Whilst I appreciate it's a lot better than him firing back with "oh and I'm going to chase x and y fighter now," it really wouldn't take a lot for him to mention something regarding his position. He doesn't have to break this gag order, just a quick "this is what I think."

Think I speak for everyone when I say, trawling through Arum's weekly bollox is just cringe worthy.

Man it is the exact SAME here! It is insane. If you only have Arum as a resource, fine, but at least ask him some tough questions and put him on the hot seat. Don't just reprint everything he says like it is the gospel. I seriously wonder what they are teaching in journalism school?

Honestly, I don't know what I would do if I were in Mayweather's shoes. America media CONSTANTLY bashes him and then they wonder why he won't talk to them. It sucks, but damn how much can a man take?
