How you figure 50/50 would be Floyds biggest payday?

This. If you don't think Manny is OK with the 40 million then you're an idiot of the highest order.

A flat 40 mill with no risk...for a guy who makes 7 mill(?) a fight is a dream come true.

Plus, Pacquiao's country would have never thought 40 million was disrespectful to him if Arum wasn't going around stressing it in the first place; so obviously that's a silly lie. GTFOH

Not really. It wouldn't be nearly as important to a person making $40 million a fight (i.e. Floyd) to make $60 million a fight as it would be for a person making $7 million a fight (i.e. Pac) to make $40 million a fight. $40 million is a life upgrade for the broke, tax-troubled Pinoy.

Once again, Manny does not make $7 million per fight. That NSAC document that Floyd leaked only showed the "base" purse amounts that were submitted to the NSAC before each fight. Those are not even his guarantees, much less what he sees after all the PPV, live gate, etc. percentages roll in. He was reportedly guaranteed something like $22 million for JMM 3 and came away with somewhere around $30 million for that fight. Floyd reportedly made around $40 million for the Ortiz fight even though it was outsold by Pacquiao Marquez 3, so Floyd does make significantly more, but the gap between the two is nowhere near what that document would suggest.

Yeah you may be right but:

Those figures were quoted by Bob Arum and not confirmed in any way.

Plus, that's REVENUE before he pays his bills to Top Rank (Arum and more) ...before they systematically scam him.

If they are "reporting" that Floyd made $40 million then that reported figure is his takeaway from his investment in the Ortiz fight.

Fact of the matter remains, Pac is facing financial difficulties, tax evasion charges, etc. Therefore, his need for that $40 million is far greater than Floyd's, at the moment.

I think he definitely wants the $40 million and its more Arum who's trying to prevent that from happening because that deal only entitles him to commissions.

If Manny is given a share of PPV that means that Top Rank is effectively investing in the fight because, as in business, no risk means no reward. If Top Rank is investing, Bob Arum is making his capital gains + commission.
