The Scene reported that Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao’s media relation chief Aquiles Zonio has claimed in several interviews that his client is a promotional free agent. But Bob Arum denies this that Manny is still under contract and he does not know when it will expire - which is a total BS. I know that the Matthysse fight is not finalized due to the financial side of things, and Bob will make sure to take hold of Manny as long as he can.
I'm surprised this hasn't been talk about. Can anyone confirm this? Is the contract up? Is Arum sending Pac to the dog house? Broke him, now leave him? All up to date sources I find, are 3rd hand youtube vids. Almost all these contracts have clauses (which are open to interpretation) which extend them when a fighter is unavailable due to injury. Pac had surgery after the Mayweather fight which put him on the shelf. I’m sure the lawyers on each side would have different opinions on how much longer the contract would be extended due to this and any other issues that kept him out of action during the course of the contract. Probably also extends if he gets an offer for a fight and turns it down for some reason (unless he agrees to a different fight in the same time frame).
As usual Arum is a piece of ****. He doesn't know when Pacquiao's contract expires say's a whole lot about his **** shenanigans.
Bob Arum is rich as hell! He does not need to cheat boxers, he is old, 86 years old and he can't take the money with him, he does not need more money, yet he just can't get enough. It appears he had Pac cheated in the Horn fight, probably in the Bradley fight also........................sorry crook!
