Remember GG only likes fighting former 154 fighters so he won't fight somebody bigger.

Obviously Arum is just using GGG's name to promote his guy.

Hypothetically, if GGG was willing to fight Ramirez at 168 tomorrow, Arum would immediately change his tune to his usual "let the fight marinate" rhetoric.

jeff...you sir need to stop getting on ggg for ducking ward....when ggg said "anyone from 154-168" we were supposed to know he meant only Floyd or pac at 154(that's just ggg..daring to be great and take challenges) and froch/chavez only at 168

That's not the way it works. You GGG fans have no idea of anything.

A fighter like Canelo who already has a big fan following, you let a possible big fight marinate awhile and let it come to a boil.

A fighter like Zurdo Ramirez nobody outside his family knows.
Its a fighter like that who'd be eager to matchup with GGG so that he can gain name recognition.

    Here's the lesson kids.
If you're a Canelo Alvarez with a big fan following, you don't fight a dangerous fighter like GGG who isn't quite there yet as far as far as a following and being able to sell PPV's.

But if you're a Zurdo Ramirez with zero following, what you want to do is create some type following and respect among the boxing world.

In other words, Zurdo Ramirez would want to make a statement to, promoters, fighters, and boxing writers and ****ysts that he has arrived. A GGG fight could accomplish that.

    Study it for homework kids.
    Class dismissed!
