Sure Bob!! Promoters do what they supposed to do: talk. I don't get HBO on this one though. If they were to stop broadcasting mismatches from now on I would get it but I don't think that's the case

 Go ahead Arum, curse them out. How dare they stand in the way of your matchups. God himself better not cross Arum, cause there's hell to pay.

Maybe HBO is tired of promoters *****'n out there fighters to make a quick buck, instead of matching them against the best. Could be a new direction for HBO, ... who knows.

Cotto-Martirosyan wasn't exactly a mismatch. Vanes is ranked top 5 by all the major orgs.

They basically chose Martinez-Dzinziruk over it, which might be a better fight, but does not make business sense for the long term.

Martinez is not a as big a box office attraction as Cotto is, and surely won't have many fights left. Dzinziruk has built his career in obscurity and hard to see him being popular.

If Arum sticks to his guns and cuts HBO out of his future promotions it could end up being a very costly decision for them, especially if Pac does have 5-6 more fights

They both are ****ing ****. HBO has had numerous worthless fights between its house fighters and has backfired many many many times on fighters on ended up being bust.

HBO was better ten years ago with its Boxing after dark series. Now its PPV matchups and majority of its promoted fights are bull****

HBO's relationship with Golden Boy has also turned into a farce as well.

HBO is extremely biased and it shows big time! Check out what their punch stats were in the Martinez/Williams II fight. Count them. HBO had Williams landing many, many more punches than Martinez, but if you count them you will find that Williams landed very few punches. The fix was in, or so HBO appeared to think such. Martinez landed far more punches than Williams, it was not even close.

Maybe not as big as HBO's budget but Showtime also has money... Arum is doing Pacquiao-Mosley and Cotto-Mayorga on Showtime plus the Juan Manuel Lopez fights.
