What, this fight isn't above Floyd's "best weight" also? I guess we need a time machine now too.

There is no point playing weight games for this fight. None.

Manny is the WBO WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.

2 of Manny's last 3 fights have taken place at WW according to *******s.

Floyd's 2 of last 3 have taken place at WW.

Manny is now a WW. They should fight at 147. You can't keep asking ofr a catchweight if you hold a WW belt. Jesus.

WTF is the problem here. Manny fought Oscar @ 147. WHy cant he fight floyd @ the same weight, why does a catchweight even need 2 b discussed. I see if this was some unchartered territory. But he fought Hoya and Hatton & that weight. And have been weighing in the same weight regardless if its 145 or 147.
Wats the problem lol. I dont see why the Pac team is demanding it be @ 145. Set it @ the welterweight limit of 147. Pac can still weigh in @ 145. Floyd will come in @ 147, and then Pac if he is soo great can just do wat he did to oscar to mayweather, the weight shouldnt b an issue right?

    :rofl

But it's "unfair" that he fights a natural junior lightweight at a weight limit of 147.

Whatever. Sign the contract, then have Floyd make it rain in front of the Pacquiao contingent after he weighs in at 147.

If he's better than these Welters, why the hell does he need a catchweight? True boxing fans know it's bull**** to ask a Welter to fight you at a catchweight when you are a Welter yourself. If Pac is better than Mayweather as you claim, then they should be able to beat him without a catchweight. The difference in size is relatively small. Both these guys walk around within 10 lbs. of eachother.

He proved he could bang with a WW at a catch weight.

The weight is never the issue. It is what it takes out of a fighter to get to the weight. Man Arum's teams are slick with this crap. They know how to hurt a fighter.

All fighters coming down in weight seem to be listless. RJJ, DLH, Antonio Tarver, etc... Very few can hold it together and drop weight.

already said but Pacquiao is a Welter .. granted a smaller one, but he's gradually made the move

and regarding all this bigger man will win

how come Pacquiao can fight De La Hoya, who's much bigger then him at straight up Welter

but would need a 145 catchweight vs Mayweather .. who's nowhere close to the size of DLH

"Cause my own words were that at 147 we don't know if the better fighter will win the fight because one fighter will be bigger than the other."

at 145 Cotto is still bigger then Pacquiao

same goes for DLH ... Pacquiao isn't the bigger man

and even vs Mayweather Manny will still be smaller

**but the catchweight might be fair to level things out, however Manny hasn't been at Welterweight too many fights, and hasn't weighed in above 144.

the two should meet at 147 since pac clearly handles the weight after seeing the cotto fight. enough of this catchweight.

They are asking for 145 because Mayweather will come in at 147 anyway.

If they asked for 147, then he will come in at 149.

well for one, because he's never fought (weigh) north of 145 on the weigh-in ever. pac's camp knows his limits and they probably think pac cant be as effective at147lbs. if he wants to fight floyd, he has to be in the best shape of his life (i mean the BEST shape). while floyd can weight around 146lbs and can still fight at the top of his game. anyways, floyd is a small WW right? i don't think he would mind 145lbs.

it's is if you are a floyd fan...

**** even if i am a pac fan, i wouldnt like the idea if he fights jmm north of 140lbs. pac will simply be "too big - too fast - too strong" for jmm and it wouldnt prove anything if he beats him at that weight.
