Where are those media taking Floyd's side? There's an article or two, but most media men understands the dynamics of boxing imho. PEDs is a lauging matter for those media people in the know. They know it's just a negotiating tactic gone bad and out of control. They know that the true reason of the fallout is PRIDE (on both primadonna camps).

As for the casual fans. You mean the 650,000 fans that spent 50-60 bucks on PPV? Or the 51,000 that watched the fight live (most travelled from far away state) ? Against a nobody opponent, worst betting odds, a fight with almost no marketting, no 24/7, bad undercards.

Cotto ducked Floyd@140, apparently he was "too green"
Floyd always wanted Tszyu but it was HBO vs Showtime, never was gonna happen.

    Hey smart one.

Let's skip the margo and cotto debate of ducking.

    How/When did he duck Zoo?

And I suggest your dumbass thinks long and hard about this before you say something.

A full week has passed, should'nt they have tabulated the total numbers by now?

If the total numbers are not tabulated by midweek, you can bet that Arum will do what he did for the David Diaz and Ricky Hatton fights......he wont release the official numbers.:deal

If pac does 700k vs clottey that would be very respectable against someone the casuals haven't heard of.

Something else to think about, people in the phillipines get to watch all of Pacs fights for a VERY reduced price, its still a poor country. If they could afford the PPV, all his fights would be off the charts.

so many holes in this post:patsch .and the media was all over man..not alot of em really agree with manny not taking the tests when he knows he can pass it...right???..:think teddy atlas sait it to..dont be mad but thats just what the casual fan and media think...twist it n turn it how u want but in the end manny the one who coulda taken the 14 days..now he is gonna retire without fighting the best in shane and floyd..hmmmm..

hate to think what they would say if "floyd was retiring to join politics"..the media would eat him alive sayin he ducked manny to go into politics etc...

I'm curious to know the PPV numbers as well. But I need to hear them from a source that isn't Bob Arum.

    That is'nt going to happen.........
THe official PPV numbers of both David Diaz and Ricky Hatton have yet to be officially released, although several sources have the Hatton fight at 800K.

I've seen some articles that have pointed to the David Diaz fight doing what Arum first described it as, 250k, but we knew right after from several sources that it had done well below that......but Arum never made an official announcement on the fight.

The same thing is going to happen here. Arum has unofficially announced it will do no less than 650K and conveniently layed the room for speculation that it did alot more.
.....the best bet is that if Arum does'nt say something very soon, its almost a guarantee that it do alot less than the 650K he say's is assured.

I'm guessing unless it beat out Mayweather's most recent fight, there won't be an official announcement.
