You seemed to believe it right? So, if you believe that then he must be your God and you have to believe everything else he says, including insinuating Pacquiao might be doing PEDs right? Unlike you, I don't worship boxers.

I expected last Saturday's fight to sell around a million with pac mania.

if it does 800 000 i think it can be considered a success all things taken into consideration. 600 000 is pretty mediocre, anything above a million is a huge success. i think it lands somewhere at 700- taken into account the fight- past fights such as hatton/pac and arums bull****.

pac is a bigger star now than he was against hatton- but clottey has no local following and no national following- simply because ghana isnt a first world country. so pac really is the a and b side to this.

the thing is, people (imo) are forgetting that 650k buys is actually a GOOD SHOWING....

its just weve gotten so used to these superfights doing huge numbers (mayweather/hatton, pac/hatton, mayweather/oscar, ect) with a huge promotion behind them and big fan bases, that we expect every fight to do close to a million.

    think about this,

Vargas vs Mosley 2 did 350,000 buys, Trinidad vs Mayorga did 420,000,

Those are 4 big names in the world of boxing with decent fan bases and Pac vs Clottey blew them out of the water....

Its not that this fight did super bad, its that expectations have seemingly completely changed.

This was actually a good number for a fight involving Clottey in it...

    think about this

De La Hoya vs Ike Quartey did 570,000

so anyways, decent showing for Pac, just not living up to the recent explosion boxing ppv's have been having recently (due in large part to 24/7, and mayweather, hatton, and pacs fanbases)

    IMO

Thats alot of people who got cheated on that night.

Anyways, congrats to Pac for showing his star power again.

Hope he fights the Floyd-Shane winner in the fall.

anyone who thinks 650k is a poor showing are idiots or just plain joyboys. considering that this fight only has pac as the draw, both are non-americans and non-latino and cannot speak really good english nor spanish without 24/7 nor aggessive media pubicity like GBP alway do, yes 650k is a great number and that is what i have predicted in the PPV prediction thread. :D

plus of course don't forget that it drew 51,000 live crowd, not bad for a fight with only pac has the real draw with not much known undercards.

I thought he answered it already. JMM wasnt as big a star, nor did those fights have the promotion behind it as PBF-JMM did.

Countries tend to support their biggest attraction.

No Way! Manny is very popular but he's not DLH popular....NO ONE IS. This fight will do about 650K in PPVs like I've been saying. Strong numbers considering the weak undercard and very unknown Josh Clottley......for PAC to do 650K all by himself that says he's got a very strong following to say the least.

650,000 is pretty good considering the opponent was Clottey.

I trust it more than HBO releases the figures, however, than Bob Arum.
