This **** is mind boggling. Wasn't everyone getting on Floyd for not fighting WWs?(even though he had already beaten two top 5 WWs and a top 5 JMW). People would be ok with Pac fighting at 147 or 140. However, they're trying to match him up with a LW. You have guys telling me that he's all about his legacy yet he thinks it's ok for Pac to skip over the top guys at 140 and 147 in order to handpick a 135 lb. fighter.

I like Bradley and Alexander. They're still young and have promising career ahead of them. Fighting Manny this early might ruin that and of course I don't want to happen.

It's a legit match up. You talk as if Manny is a legit welter. Weren't you calling Manny a midget?

Bradley is about the same age as Valero. Bradley has almost as many fights, has fought better comp, and has more experience when you consider his vast amatuer background.

Well, anything else to make this sour **** sound better? Cause what it sounds like is Bob Arum is trying to avoid competition that might beat his cash cow, and if by some upset Valero does, Bob Arum still makes the money.

And that is based on what fight you've seen of Valero's at 140?

I previously said this would barely make 500K..but 650K seem realistic given the last hour promotions of the fight.

    Still it is weak.

Pac-JMM or Pac-Valero would have generated close to 1M IMO.

These are the opponents id like for Pac to fight

    1 - Mayweather/Mosley winner
    2 - Bradley
    3 - Alexander
    4 - Valero

The only one that is a must is the winner of Mayweather/Mosley, then Pac can ride off into retirement, win or lose, and everything will have been complete lol, but i wont complain about any of these opponents.... anyone other then these is unacceptable at this point IMO (not that my opinion means anything on that matter lol)

When did I ever call Manny a midget? Anyway, I wouldn't mind him taking on the top WWs or top JWWs. However, they're trying to put him in there with a LW. Why isn't he held to the same standard as everyone else? I don't see how a fight with Valero is a legit matchup. Valero has no name recognition in the states, he's not mentioned on anyone's p4p list, and he currently fights 2 divisions below Manny. He's smaller than Manny slower, than Manny, his level of opposition is far below Manny's, and he's nowhere near as skilled as Manny. He doesn't present Manny with any stylistc or technical problems. He has good power, but we have no idea how well it will carry to 140 lbs. We also know that he probably doesn't hit as hard as a WW Cotto.

So he jumps from 135 to welter, beats the best Jnr Welter, then two of the top 5 WW's in the world and that's cherry picking?

Holy crap mate - It's ok to acknowledge someone else's achievements without the bias glasses on...

I mean, I don't like Floyd the person - But up to/including 135 he was on a pure ATG run, then until the Mosley fight he's had a pretty lax run - Unless you count a split with an old Hoya and Hatton without the ONE loss he had when Pac fought him and this is AFTER shutting out Malinaggi.

I applaud Floyd for finally fighting Shane, I hope this starts a trend of tougher opponents.

Because while Pac MAY fight a 135 pounder next, Floyd DID, in his LAST fight and he still didn't make the weight!!!!

ERRR, I know a boxer who so-called retired at the time WW was stacked, and came back to chose the best opponent.

I just could not believe Pac is really fighting a 140 lber, but if he does, good and better win. He surely is waiting of for Shane-Floyd winner.
