I said Clottey was handpicked, and so would Valero. Hoya was a money fight. Cotto and Hatton were good fights as well

Manny is a great fighter who has accomplished a lot in this sport. I give him a ton of credit for beating Hatton and Cotto. However, I can still recognize reality. Hoya was done and Clottey was handpicked, that's reality.

Look what you're doin. You're discrediting his wins against Hatton and Hoya, yet you get on me for not giving Pac enough credit for beating those same two guys, after Floyd beat them. You want to hype up Clottey because he was a top 5 WW. Well guess what, Baldo and Zab were both top 5 WWs when Floyd fought them.

Marquez was a handpicked opponent. You see, I can accept reality. I can tell the difference between a legit matchup and a setup.

Collazo would've been a better opponent than Clottey. Regardless, Pac is the supposed champ at 140 and supposedly has to eat 7,000 calories a day to fight at WW. Why couldn't he fight Bradley? If Pac is only expected to fight only WWs, then why are people justifying him fighting a LW?

No, I did not. I also didn't think Hoya would come in at 147 lbs. on fight night. That was a great performance by Pac, but anyone could see that Hoya was a shell of himself on that night. That's reality.

Why fight Valero at 140, who is a 135lbs fighter when you can fight Timothy Bradley, the best 140 lbs fighter in the world and who is the WBO champ at 140? Especially if it is Money second, ATG status first?

You're true color is showing and you're just hating. How could you pick Collazo over Clottey? A Clottey who's never been dominated before vs Collazo who couldn't break 140lb Hatton?

Everything is always so clear in hindsight.

Lacy was a ****ing monster, the next Tyson. But then he turned into a bum, and everyone 'knew it all along.'

When Pac signed to fight Oscar, he didn't know that he was going to come in at 147 or so ON FIGHT NIGHT.

    Expectations were around 155.

Hatton looked past it AFTER he fought Pac.

Cotto was prime, big and 'undefeated' save for a guy who quite probably loaded his gloves.

And again, Clottey was 'handpicked' ?

    Collazo a better choice ?

Don't think so. They were close, but Clottey is (was ) ranked higher and has never been stopped, or even clearly beaten.

    More hindsight.

per pacquiao fans "a fighter is only as good as his last fight regardless of opponent"..

so lets see if that still holds true after manny dont do as many as a million...

    Because he fought Clottey.

A good pick, however it appears in hindsight.

Given where he has fought over the past couple of years, he can fight wherever the best opponents happen to be.

He's fighting at WW at the minute.

He may move down (or even up).

Clottey was the best fight to be made when Floyd fell apart.

Didn't Floyd made 2.4M buys with Oscar? How come he made less than a million buys fighting a credible and undefeated Hatton? why?

920K WAS AWESOME AT THE TIME AND THE 3RD BIGGEST FIGHT IN THE PREVIOUS 5 YEARS AS FAR AS BUYS GO...ALSO IT WAS THE FASTEST SELL OUT FOR A CROWD AND SOLD OUT IN AROUND 25-30 MINUTES...AS A MATTER OF FACT THATS THE MOST BUYS RICKY HAS EVER DONE...UR FAULT...NOT TO MENTION THAT RICKY MADE MORE FIGHTING FLOYD THAN HE DID FIGHTING MANNY ...

IF U WANNA COME OUT LIKE THAT THAN HOW COME MANNNY ONLY DID 850K??:think

Hatton had a loss record already. He's not as sweet as before Floyd him.

OK WHATS YOUR POINT? HE STILL HAD THE HUGE FAN BASE FROM THE UK...

again that was the 3rd largest fight in the previous 5 years ...the only fights to outsell that one in the previous 5 years was de la hoya-mayweather and de la hoya-mayorga....

so again..MY POINT IN THE COMMON OPPONENTS IS MOS DEF MORE SUPPORTED THAN YOUR POINT IN THE UNDEFEATED RECORD...

I RESPECT YOUR OPINON BUT YOU HAVE LITTLE TO BACK IT..ON THE OTHER HAND I HAVE COMMON OPPONENTS TO BACK UP WHAT IM SAYING PLUS THE FACT THAT FLOYD OUTSOLD MANNY IN 4 FIGHTS FOR MANNY AND 3 FOR FLOYD
