If I remember correctly, Cotto made a little over $5 million against Mosley and about $3 or $4 million against Margo. Arum is a lying, greedy *******.

 

You're a smart man Ricky. You're absolutely right. If Cotto beats Margo, everyone will say Margo is shot. So why should Cotto take less money to fight a possibly shot fighter when he could fight the man who just kicked the **** out of Margo for more money?

 

That's typical Bob Arum BS, but if it becomes official that Margarito did cheat, Cotto and the Puerto Rican fans will have revenge on their minds...

But here comes the fun: if a) the commission confirms illegal handwrapping, Margarito will most likely be banned for 6 to 12 months both by the commission and the organizations, so there's no fight. But if b) the commission doesn't find anything illegal, it means the Margarito win was legit, no controversy, and a guy who was knocked out just a few days ago, simply doesn't deserve the rematch.

Either way, Cotto-Margarito II doesn't sound too good at the moment. Cotto should fight Mosley for The Ring belt. That's THE WW fight that matters.

Maybe people ought to wait until the whole story is out about Margo's handwraps before declaring him a cheater. As it stands right now, nobody besides HBO is saying that there was a "substance" on the wraps. Margo's trainer has said that they were just wrapped "too high" and thats why they had to re-wrap. Brother Nazim has made no statement about a substance being on the wraps, and neither has the commission. People are sure quick though to be judge, jury, and executioner before the whole story is even out.

With that being said though, if it comes out that there WAS a substance on the wraps, then both Margo AND the guy wrapping him should both be suspended for at least a year., and have a sizable fine to go along with it. And rest assured, if there was something on the wraps, then Dean Louhis from the commission aint gonna just let it go. I know Louhis, and he doesnt play around.
