That's incorrect. They removed hardened particles from Margo's wraps.Now is that enough proof to say for sure he cheated? Of course not. However, to say their is zero proof that he cheated is inaccurate. There wasn't enough proof to convince a jury that O.J killed those two people, but you're crazy if you say that there is zero proof that he committed those murders.

As a businessman, Arum needs to proceed as he originally planned and as he's promised his fighters; however, he won't announce anything until after the California investigation is done, since there's a pretty good chance that Margarito will be suspended come June.

If allegations against Margarito are proven there should be NO need to a rematch with Cotto. Marg should be banned from the sport and Cotto's record should be restored to undefeated, by erasing the fight with Marg. Why should we give cheaters the benefit of the doubt, about their past fights, just because they did not get caught before? If Marg cheated against Mosley, that is enough to throw doubt on and taint his entire career. This is what happened to Mariam Jones and this is what should happen to every blatant cheater (including Mosley).


So Arum is greedy? Name one promoter who isn't.

 

If history has taught us anything, I speak of the Panama/Resto/Collins incident of course, it's that these thing can not and should not be happening again. If anyone thinks Margarito, IF FOUND GUILTY, deserves a 1 year ban and a rematch/payday down the line I really don't have anything to say to you.

Yep. Cotto would be better off fighting Mosley for so many reasons. The loss to ol' Antonio "Manos De Plaster" Margarito can now be washed away on the grounds of cheating, and Mosley is the better fight.

 

Arum knows that he and Cotto got away after the fight with shane the first time..Not sure that Arum would be willing to do that again...In light of the fact that Margo just got crushed, he would really be hurt if Cotto fought Shane again and got crushed. Its better for him to have either one of those guys beat the **** out of one another then take a chance of them losing to another fighter at this point.
