Both have been a negative influence, King moreso because no one screws the fighters as bad as he does.

 

I would say almost any fighter has done more for boxing than either Arum or King

 

He is also on recored for taking bribes ..So there you go for wisdom ..

10 yrs ago i'd say king.

but king has fallen off the radar a bit in recent years.

he's failed to sign up big stars since tito started scaling down his career.

he's still trying with the heavyweights but no one cares anymore. atsch

meanwhile arum has been bigtime with oscar and continues to promote the major fights and fighters.

King did more for boxing. Either way the fights were going to happen if the public demands them. I am not impressed with promoters that much. There will always be someone who is there to make the big events.

 

Don King is an evil SOB.

 

Man part of me says, King is horrible. At the same time, look at all the fighters he dealt with. King kept all of them on the front pages and in big time bouts. They complained and left... It is like they fell off of the planet.

Arum on the other hand has muffed up more great matches than any promoter in history. This idiot controls the WW division today and ruined too many careers. FMJ left to go on to greatness. Clottey is stagnant. Margarito was begging to fight. Cotto was cheated on by a fighter from the same promotion team. Arum is just horrible.

 

He reminds me of another ***** called Joseph Blatter with all the bull**** that comes out of his mouth.
