shane mosley is a better choice and more dangerous opponent than either joshua clottey or margarito

At the end of the day doesn't Pac deserve praise and adoration for dodging Mayweather?

yesss Pacquiao should blame Arum for all the terrible fights...for setting up the biggest fights in recent years...for allowing manny to become the star he is...STFU

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73jAeeH4PEs&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Yes but Oscar and HBO are even more indefensible

Oscar is in tight with the dems because having political clout can do wonders when working with getting fights with cable networks. It probably goes something like this, let my guys fight or my biwig friends in Washington will suddenly be repulsed by your porn industry. I guess this could he why Arum had Manny halp Harry reid-another little step toward leveling the playing field with HBO

HBO has done a brilliant job of marketing these **** fights to morons as well, but we're not talking about who Pacquiao should blame. He loves his Uncle Bobby...No question about that.

The guy says at the end that the obligation is to the viewer, but HBO and Golden boy's obligation is to the sport of boxing. That means creating stars and that's what they were doing.

I have no issues with HBO dropping Pirog in favour of Jacobs. I know it's not always good to see and one of my favourite fighters, Froch, has been shunned by network after network but I understand that boxing is a business. The few fighters that these networks choose to back need star power and I don't think Pirog has it. He's never going to attract many fans because he 1) Isn't America 2) Can't speak English and 3) Doesn't look marketable. There's a very limited number of fans who will tune in to see him.

As for Jacobs, he may not be the best fighter in the world, but he's easy to market and the black fans will buy into him. Stick him on a few Mayweather undercards against guys who have little chance and he could be a star. Same for Ortiz, Khan and all these other young guys who've stumbled but are given another chance.

In the end, these decisions are good for boxing. It is a shame for Pirog and I feel for him, but I'm confident that HBO and Golden Boy are making a good decision in the long term by supporting Jacobs instead of Pirog.

    :huh

Sure there is a desire for American pride but American fans want truth, reality and to see good fights between diverse people like Pac, Kirkland, Martinez and Duran and the super six and Brazilian MMA etc etc.

Lampley's behavior is also riddled with more than just money agenda's IMO

Pac deserves his share of the blame, as he shares in the spoils.

Bob Arum works for Manny...not the other way around. He is travelling to the Philippines to present Manny with 3 OPTIONS. It is MANNY'S decision which option to accept. If he chooses the Mosely fight, that was HIS choice not Bob Arum's. Or if he says..."I'll fight whomever you choose, Bob" or "I'll fight whichever fighter potentially will help secure the biggest payday", again...the decision is MANNY'S (to approach the matter in this fashion).

The only difference between Manny and Floyd, in this respect, is that Manny has chosen to continue to pay a promoter a guaranteed 27% or more of his purse to do the leg work of narrowing down his options.

......and what about the Klitchko brothers fired from HBO or how according to Kathy Duva, HBO and GBP conspired against Adamek or all the Eastern European or Eurasian fighters like Dzinziruk and Pirog left to languish? The fans are not ignorant about Russian fighters nor how they come to fight after beating all odds to get one. So what gives?

I say this sociopolitical barrier has at least something to do with Kerry/Obama racist campaigner Bernard Hopkins living living right next door to Joe Biden; after all, Hopkins did call out Klitchko, Froch and Adamek right before his company ducked and blackballed them. Then we got the same Jim Lampley who to took up an hour of our Klitchko undercard with Charlie Rangel to compare Obama to Joe Louis and how the Klitchko heavyweight era just cant compare. Oh and why was it that Obama hired racist Mayweather as his campaign figure-- until his administration found all the baby momma beating thangs?
