Average ticket price for Mayweather-DLH was around $1250 for a live gate of over 19MM which remains the largest gate in the history of boxing.

A 38,000 seat termporary venue will cost around 7MM to construct. The average ticket price will drop substantially as the top 20,000 tickets will have to be sold between $300-$700. 20,000 x $500 = 10MM minus the construction cost leaves around 3MM dollars. That's assuming the remainder of the stadium has an average ticket price os $1250 which is unlikely.

MGM Grand does the biggest live gates otherwise Pac would still be fighting at Cowboy stadium. Why did Mayweather-Marquez with only 10,000 paid fans have a higher live gate than both Pac-Clottey and Pac-Margo despite that those fights had triple the paid attendance?

    Don't believe the hype.

true and the regular high rollers and celebrities go there so why change the venue, if they want extra cash from the live gate they could just increase ticket prices and problem solve easily.

Truth is, even if they increase seat prices like $1000 more for ringside, $150 more for the general admission/or those in the upper and far side, about $350 for middle, and $550 for lower people will still buy it. Multiply the average increase to 16,000 and you get your extra cash
