You'd have to be amazingly bullish about the prospects of potential earnings to guarantee 80M

Oscar and Floyd got around 70M combined in the biggest money fight in history.

Exactly, Arum would never give Floyd that kind of money. When has Arum ever been known for his generosity anyways. He leaves his own fighter in pac with only 6M and takes the rest of pac earnings. There's no way Arum would give Floyd 100M.

That sounds inflated for sure....I was just speaking to the poster about where the money would be coming from.

I dont blame manny for turning down 40 mil. flat fee w/no PPV.

40 mil difference is mucho dinero.

100 mil for floyd and 80 mil for pac is a fair deal. Floyd would have been the higest paid athlete in the universe.

But then again, I dont believe that fat **** Arum.

This is what people do not get. Before Marquez fight was signed, where was Pacquiao agreeing to a 55-45 split?

Mayweather only mentions Pacquiao "Pacquiao you're next" when he's already tied up in a fight.

Both are con artists, don't believe the hype.

he's basically estimating that 55% of the income would earn him 100mil. It wasnt a gurantee.

It probably isnt too far off the mark.

We don't know whether he oficially got offered that though

oscar vs floyd, has nothing on floyd vs manny.

That was the biggest money fight, yet floyd wasnt a house hold name at that point, and oscar was part time fighter.

I believe manny vs floyd would make maybe 150 mil personally if i had to guess.

    Maybe more.

De La Hoya vs Mayweather is the biggest fight so far and that had only $77 million in the pot to split between the two I believe, so where is this $180 million figure coming from?
