55/45 split off 180 million is 99 and 81 million, I doubt it's important but still, 180 million will never be the amount negotiated, they should be talking the 100 range
funny ****. arum is a lying pig. the only fight that could generate even close to that figure would have to have the two most popular fighters in the history of the sport. Tyson-Ali.
Mayweather does the same thing! How blinkered do you need to be? It started even before he announced Cotto with Haymon saying "We're fighting May 5th and putting on the fight people want to see against the little guy"...and that wasn't from a question put to him. Then there was the build-up, Mayweather constantly threw in Pacquiao's name - even on 24/7 he threw in Pacquiao's name when making fun of an Asian runner crossing the line. Open your eyes!
Mayweather still needs at least 3 years to surpass JCalzaghe in terms of legacy - JC is 47:0 - JC beat two ATG, Floyd beat two as well but one of them was cheated on the scale - JC was undisputed champion in one division, FLoyd was never Floyd still needs to beat thees three bullets to be even considered as the best in the last decade.
$180m is possible, unlikely but certainly possible. This would be the biggest fight in history, the amount of private sponsors who will also throw money at this to be associated in some way, let alone the corporate sponsorpship... Forget biggest fight, it would be one of the biggest one-off sporting events for a long tme...it transcends boxing, people not even that into boxing would pay for the fight as these 2 are so well known. There is no doubt that if Mayweather offered Pacquiao $40m flat, rest assured he knows he would be picking up 3 times that amount - he wouldn't offer Pacquiao $40m if he could only make $40m himself would he? There's a reason why Pacquiao turned it down flat. $180m is not beyond reality by any means
not if PAC is coming from a lose, but iof PAC beats Marquez decisively and Floyd beats Garcia then 150$ mln is not out of scope after a good promotion. SO the split could be rather 80 mln vs 60 mln.
I wonder why these Arum stans havent stopped by to defend this hag yet?! Gotta love how this clown always makes a fool of himself!
Arum never made that offer. the offer he made was 55-45% split towards Mayweather. 180 million is aproximatelly the total ammount of revenue that could be generated considering the best case scenario for this fight, not deducting the costs involved. With that cleared out, as mentioned above the 100 million number is just 55% of 180m, but Floyd would be getting a fraction of that. Still a boat load of money and his career high payday by quite a bit. Bob Arum is twisting the information, as usual.
lol, why even say this, man? theres no way you could possibly know this, much less claim everyone knows it. just stick to facts and stop pretending youre somehow more knowledgable about the ins and outs of multi million dollar deals to which you have absolutely no connection.
I Just offered Floyd 200 million and Manny 150 million I am just waiting on Floyd to call me back see how that works
