It was a concession on Floyd's part because the initial demand was no cutoff, pure OSDT, he conceded and gave back the 14 day cut off, Pac refused.

    the scene

Venue- The seat price alone doesnt matter- the total gate it brings in is what does matter.

Billing- WAS the champion. he retired. and this negotiation was before the mosley fight

no. the status quo was that there are no osdt required by the commission. floyd asked for osdt and it was manny who conceded to a cut off.

English semantics, he conceded on his demand, which still netted as a demand (to take add'l test)

If you couldn't see a b level fighter landing lead lefts on Floyd and starting to fustrate him that he needed to cheap shot his way out because he missed 88% of his jabs well then...
Considering all the *****s claimed the jab would kill Pac SMH.
Floyds right hand didn't even deter Victor Ortiz.
Pac would brutalize Floyd with his superior speed and power.
Pac on a much higher level which is why Floyd will run forever.

Floyd conceded to every point Pac requested, all Floyd has asked for is 1 thing OSDT. He gave him 14 days to meet in the middle in first negotiations, Manny got scared filed the lawsuit and ran away. 14 day is now off the table and he is sticking to his guns, full OSDT.

It is Manny and Co who keep coming up with excuses of why they can submit to full OSDT.

If this is true than it even helps the case of Mayweather. If he would agree to 147 (and a potential penalty), and the gloves than it makes it even worse that Pac wouldn't agree to testing. However I have to question the validity of these claims because: 1.) Mayweather is a 147 fighter, he doesn't even naturally weigh 154 so why would he want a fight at 154 if he can't even make the weight? 2) Floyd complained about the 10oz gloves versus Oscar, don't think he would agree to it when he adamantly stated how much he hated them before. I have read that Floyd did not request this stuff, I have no clue where because it was years ago.

Venue- Those $15 tickets do nothing for the gate. Same reason why Pac's recent Texas fights may have sold many more tickets than Floyd's Las Vegas fights, but still generated far less revenue. Las Vegas is the fight capital, Arum wanted Texas because his slimeball buddy is over there.

Champion- Yes I was thinking about the 2nd round of negotiations, but the case for Manny being champ is even worse the first time because he had not really achieved anything at the weight (1st round was before Cotto right?). Floyd had lineage.

He didn't concede to **** that mattered except purse, which is still debateable. You can't seem to be able to come up with counter-points so you're just ignoring it and saying the same thing.

Despite what Arum says i still see this as a 50/50 fight but wouldn't be surprised to see one dominate the other.. What i find interesting is Arums dare i say arrogance in "Manny knows styles" when it is fact that Manny never fought anyone like floyd and it being on record that avoidance of slick fighters was very much on the agenda at one time.

This is pretty much the sequence of events I had been following. And to be honest, it feels like we are all being duped here. It just depends on whose lies we choose to believe. :good

Then he'll have no problem allowing Pacquiao to submit to full random blood and urine tests and Arum is going to actually push to get a fight made right? Believe it when I see it from Arum. I still think Bob has no interest in putting Manny in with Floyd.

The boxers themselves are not scared of each other and want the fight. Arum is, and always has been, the biggest obstacle to getting the fight made.

    You have some decent points-

Why would he ask 154? In my earlier post, it was so they could avoid Team Pac asking for a catchweight

Gloves- not sure what your issue is here, but I think he just wanted 10oz to soften up the damage but thats just me

Venue- I checked the numbers, youre right the gate sucks in texas :huh (I actually feel bad for those texans who did buy, 2 of those 3 fights were Clottey and Mosley :rofl)

billing- floyd had lineage before he retired, pacquiao had recently been making noise at the weight with the cotto win, its debateable
