Yea I know, I heard the hit single a few weeks ago. MF better man up after seeing all this news. Maybe like another poster mentioned, Arum has some type of power on him just like King had with many of his fighters. I thought the mafia was out of the fight game.
Oh ****, that scene is in season 4 and probably the best scene of the entire season. The wire is the greatest, it gets better although my personal fav was season 3. Now back to Pacquiao ducking Floyd
No one should be shocked by this. If you were being honest with yourself this is right in line with what's been coming from pac's camp the whole time. We have no problem with any testing. we won't fight at the mgm it has to be at texas stadium. Making two fights at a time. Not wanting the fight until after the election. The lawsuit. Now this? How could everyone not see who is avoiding this fight? Roach has done a masterful job of getting pac fights at the right time, however the comments he made on Friday night fights a couple years ago just stood out to me. A fight with floyd would be the toughest fight out there for manny. Floyd would make him walk to him and wait for mistakes. And if manny starts to get comfortable with that floyd would change and start walking manny down with tight defence and counters. You don't sound like you think manny can win -brian kenny Oh I think manny could win, its going to take the fight of his life, and we would need a couple fights to work on those things.

BoxingInsider: Who do you see winning Pacquiao vs. Floyd? Peterson: This content is protected . BoxingInsider: You dont think so? Peterson: This content is protected BoxingInsider: Why not? Peterson: This content is protected BoxingInsider: Why not? Everyone wants to see it? Peterson: A lot of people want to see it but This content is protected . BoxingInsider: Mayweather doesnt want it does he? Peterson: Ah, This content is protected . BoxingInsider: Youre saying it with a lot of certainty in your voice. Peterson: Yes sir. Yes sir. If it was gonna be made it would be made by now. BoxingInsider: Who doesnt want to pull the trigger? (I know Mayweather is the chicken here, just want to try to get more from the source.) Peterson: This content is protected . BoxingInsider: You know something but wont say it. Peterson: [Smiles]. BoxingInsider: Who would win, if it was made? Just for fun? Peterson: This content is protected . BoxingInsider: I hear you, its not even worth wasting the energy on a fight that is fantasy. Peterson: This content is protected . .............. whoever told george way back on dec. 2, 2009 that this fight would never happen knew what they were talking about.
What people don't seem to understand is that Floyd's date was "postponed" to June 1st, but that doesn't mean he's going to jail on June 1st. He has counseling and community service to take care of and, if he handles that, he probably won't go to jail at all. The reason why the Clark County Judge conceded on the postponement was because she valued the counseling above the actual jail time. Floyd got off easy, but that doesn't change facts. 1. The initial argument from Floyd's lawyers was that he had a contractual obligation to the MGM Grand to hold a fight with scheduled TV PPV. The judge shot that down saying Floyd won't get special treatment because he's an athlete. 2. His lawyers then came in with the money argument. THAT'S when she conceded. So, all that being said, the court date being postponed had nothing to do with a specific date with MGM, it had to do with the money Floyd could bring Las Vegas and the low priority of the jail time. If Bobfather is genuine, then I think the stadium is a fantastic idea. (one of his best yet, concerning this fight) However, this is Bob Arum we're talking about. Personally, I don't think he wanted this fight from day one. Floyd has complete, legal freedom to call his bluff. (if you're wondering about what MGM would think, the opponent was TBA and the date only "reserved." Meaning, it was subject to change if needed; easy to get out of)
floyd is going to jail, now the only question is when and for how long. What we know for sure is that he wont go before june 1. So if Floyd makes the fight for June knowing that there is a good chance that he will go to jail before the fight took place it could burn an entire year late in his career. The fight would have to happen in a short window that would allow for Floyd to get medical attention for anything that may happen be it a broken hand, cuts etc, so the state doesnt have to pick up the bill before june 1. Arum is full of sh*t, he knows that its impossible for floyd to agree to a fight in June.
