That's the meat of this particular argument.

It's very common to get out of jail time if you have the opportunity to show that you have "learned" from your mistake. Jail time is a punishment. The judge stated that she values the counseling above the jail time. In all likelihood, he won't go to jail. Happens all the time.

The meat for the postponement is the fight, not the specifics of when and where. If he were to get a date in late May, it would fit inside the conditions for postponement. Believe it or not, these things are VERY flexible.

you dumb ****...w/o that contractual obligation (that would be the reserved MGM for 5/5) he would be in jail already

did the $ factor in? yes

was the $ the only factor? no

there is a set date (for the fight), so he cannot stall forever (thus the new date to report)

    stop your *******/bobtard spin bull****

Frankly, this is all your opinion. I'll go with what the judge said.

We're not in disagreement here, actually. If you read what she says, she shoots them down when it's a contractual obligation. It isn't until the money was brought up that she agreed.

I'll choose to ignore the *******/bobtard comment.

The stadium isnt needed at all. Build your own stadium and where are you getting site fee money from? You built it yourself.

Well, not quite opinion. It's speculation of facts. It hasn't happened yet, so we'll see. I'm quite well versed in the law in Nevada (to include Clark County, Washoe County, Reno City, and Las Vegas City) so I'm telling you that no fit would be thrown if the same fight happened a couple weeks later. However, we'll just have to wait and see. I, for one, am sick of seeing Bob Arum take all of the good fights away.

Presumably the city will build it along with the corporate sponsorships that come with building arenas nowadays. You pay the site fee to the city. What Mayor don't want more revenue in their treasury? The only reason Vegas doesn't have a big arena is that they lack a pro team from the 4 big leagues. But if you think about it, they dominate the niche sports like boxing and MMA. That more than compensates for potential risk of economic shortfall. You got 3 or 4 megafights a year, plus your big MMA events, in addition to your lesser PPV's...It makes financial sense. Why let the casinos monopolize boxing revenue? I'm surprised they hadn't built one already.

Blatant ****ing duck tactic, and these dudes are co-signing. No talk about building stadium from Arum before today. Take your blinders off.

It's probably more wishful thinking than "co-signing." I would rather see the fight in a stadium than MGM Grand. (not at the cost of the whole fight, though)

This fight has to happen! It wouldn't be a mega fight, it would be a super mega fight! Not only do we have 2 fighters both argued to be the GOAT, around the same age, in the same weight division, (with free ****ing diaries for 5th May!!!) and with an interesting style match up, there's also a shitload of history now with all the accusations, lawsuits, taunting videos etc to make it even spicier!
