JG: I know you've been in the Wildcard before. Did you ever get a chance to meet koncz? What is he like in real life? L
nah, I doubt Bob's WADA request had anything to do with that. Kontz spewed that back at the end of October. If it were related to that then why would Arum wait 10 months to make that request? Doesn't make sense imo. All Team Mayweather has to do is name another accredited source since they're already open to move off of USADA. If Arum balks at that then theres nothing much left to say.
Koncz stated this once again like 2 weeks ago, then a few days after Arum tried t save face, but of course here people are in blinded by "Saint" Manny who's aligned with the biggiset con man in boxing equal to Don king, and ignore reason's why they have killed the fight over and over.
didn't see that one 2 weeks ago. Link? In any case it doesn't matter, the jury still isn't out yet till team mayweather responds and what Arum does after, regardless of what's happen before. Since the weight of the issue now resides in moving off of the USADA and Team Mayweather has previously expressed that they are open to another testing agency then there is no real reason the fight shouldn't happen. I doubt we'll hear anything till after the Ortiz fight so lets just wait n see. (again) But there is nothing absolute yet. Kontz's propensity to speak out of turn and contradict Team Pacquiao members has been an irritating wrench in this whole ordeal. Hopefully him being out of the picture helps the slim hope some of us still have for this fight ever happening.
After Koncz' decision to do the recent interview with Fight H_pe (a site some seem to regard as more of a Mayweather-friendly site than a Pacquiao-friendly one), I felt it was likely a matter of time before Koncz either got a "talking to" or some walking papers. Not surprised by this at all. And given some of Koncz' recent statements/missteps, I don't think it will hurt Pacquiao at all, either.
Met and spoke with Koncz several times when he first showed up at Wild Card, L Could never have guessed his grand agenda. Very close-to-the-vest with his words -- expressionless. Didn't encourage conversation. Suspicious 'n furtive. Uncomfortable being with him; as if he had much bigger fish to fry than being with whoever was talking to him. He was always on the back foot in conversation. Never initiated anything or inquired about another person's life. The curious thing to me: A con man or a hustler usually is an amiable guy who ingraciates himself with a mark. Koncz's the Polar opposite.
