Bob Arum not even trying or mentioning Floyd-Cotto.

    On the site where they talk about boxing. An interview with Bob Arum about Cotto/Cintron, and some Judah.




    Arum is looking to set up Cotto/Gomez if Cintron won't vacate his titles.


    Is Alfonso Gomez the caliber of fighter that fans want to see Cotto in there with?

    BA: "We want to keep Cotto in there as often as possible. I want him to fight three if not four times in 2008. All of these guys are going to end up with the same result against Cotto."

    GL: Will Cotto face the winner of the potential Margarito-Judah fight in his next fight?

    BA: "That's a possibility or I could match Cotto with Margarito. I'm looking to match Cotto with Margarito in July on PPV."




    Like Ive said before, Arum is still trying to hype Margo up.

    The Greedy Old Man wants to keep all his money in house.

    He doesn't want to make Cotto/Cintron - because Clottey is one of his fighters and has a mandatory against Cintron. He figures he's going to make money off of Cintron regardless and this gives him a chance to get another belt in his stable of figters.

    However - he would love to make Cotto/Margarito and been wanting this fight since last year - but Paul Williams ****ed that up.

    :good He was very pissed when Margo went against him and fought Williams. He knows Margo is all hype and plans to put him in there with a shot Judah.


    Watch Judah knock Margo out. :rofl

    I told my homie the same thing - Margarito has a problem with speed.

    Not only does Zab has speed - but he has power and he's a Southpaw.

    Margarito will get exposed - like the Clottey fight - cause Zab should KO him. So I agree with you there.

    This should be a nice card - regardless to whom Cotto fights in the main event.

    ok one moment you guys cry that cotto needs to fight a couple more fights first to build more hype for a floyd fight and when arum looks like he is doing just that you guys still hate. wtf is up with that lol

    Because Cotto needs to hype himself against DLH and Williams.

    Who says that?

    I think Floyd should fight Cotto - but if he's not - Cotto should fight one of the other top WW - not Gomez.

    Cintron - Williams - Clottey - Mosley - or even Margarito - but Gomez - come on!

    It was more of a sarcasm, Arum is people Margo in there with a shot Judah..

    And I said watch Judah knocked Margo out, (all that hype just gone, get it?) :D

    so after the gimmie with gomez. the plan is for him to fight margarito. williams is booked. cintron still isnt ruled out. clottey wants cintron. mosley probably isnt interested at the moment. he's boxed his whole life he could use a break

    yea the two stars he built. its only natural for fighters,or in any industry for that matter, when they get famous to do their own thing

    He was doing just fine with them until he made stupid offers to both fighters.




    Hyping Cotto against Gomez is NOT good. Let alone fighting him for whatever reason is not good.
