Bob Arum not even trying or mentioning Floyd-Cotto.

I think the layoff from Feb to Dec was too long for Mosley. He expressed last year that he wanted a tune-up in the summer - but with his name as big as it is - GBP didn't feel the need to do that. And as good as a fight he put up against Cotto - that tune-up could have helped him.

As for the plan - that's exactly what Arum is looking for. An easy fight - they a fight with Margarito. The problem now is that Judah will **** that up - like Williams did.

This is stupid Bob Arum has mentioned Floyd's name before and has said how Floyd doesn't want to fight a tough fight with Cotto, however Floyd has never mentioned fighting Cotto or tried to called his "bluff".

I knew he was a planning something good on July, that's why Miguel is going to fight Gomez,

Most people forget that Floyd was under Arum and isn't thrilled about having to work with him again - that's why he doesn't say much about Cotto.

Alot of these guys do stuff like that - Lacy just turned down Tarver - due to the promoter.

However - if we the fans make enough noise about it and are willing to pay for the fight - once the money is right - the fight is always right.

And I don't care if DLH fights Mayweather, Cotto, or anybody else for that matter - I'll be watching the fight - as most of you will too. I'm a Boxing Fan - not a Boxer Fan.

 

i think it will go something like this
gomez first around march april
margarito first in july
de la hoya in the fall in oct or nov
mayweather in early 09 when cotto is thought to be unstoppable

the hype will be cotto beat an improving and tough gomez, an tough welter vet, one of the biggest names in boxing with de la hoya setting up a "mega showdown" with floyd.

seriously all this bs can be skipped if we fans bang the drums for them to fight asap

 

I have to agree with you here - we have the power to get the fights that we want - if we make enough noise and show that we're willing to pay for the figth. The more the demand - the easier it is to make these fights.
