Anyone else help confirm or explain this? There's no way Wink turned down 6 mil out right when he clamored for the DLH fight for a good while.

I already said its not because of what Williams has done but his style.

Im looking for it but he used the same excuse for the Floyd fight. He wanted 50-50 knowing the other guy was going to get a pretty penny more.

Yes, but we are talking about Cotto's competition.

And no way has Mosley faced better competition than DLH. It's not even close.

Forrest, DLH, Wright, Vargas, and Cotto for Mosley.

Chavez, Whitaker, Trinidad, Hopkins, Mosley, Mayweather, Vargas, do I need to go on?

Golden CEO: Wright turned down $6M guaranteed and PPV upside for a November 12 De La Hoya fight!
    By G. Leon

OSCAR DE LA HOYA RETURNS MAY 6, 2006

July 22, 2005 - Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer was rather upset that Winky Wright told **********.com he "ain't never turn down no big money for a fight with Oscar De La Hoya." According to Schaefer, Wright "turned down a $6M guarantee plus $6.00 per PPV buy for every home over 600,000." It should be noted that Shane Mosley never received more than a $4.5M guarantee to fight De La Hoya. Wright turning this fight down makes as much sense as Felix Trinidad's decision to fight him. Schaefer continued, "Oscar said he would fight and he was ready to fight Winky Wright November 12. Oscar wanted us to go and get it done. Bob Arum, who has first and last on Oscar's next fight made that offer to Wright's representatives (Gary Shaw and Jim Wilkes) and they turned it down. As a result, Oscar decided to sit out the rest of the year, and now he'll be returning on May 6, 2006 which has traditionally been his date." Wright was unavailable for immediate comment. REMEMBER WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST! (5:15 PM ET)

I thought you said Margarito was someone of worth? Williams vs Mosley would be one sided now. Mosley has trouble with tall jabbers anyways.

 Everyone knows Williams style is going to be something huge to overcome. And I'll prove my point even further when Williams beats Quitana (which everyone calls a good fighter)

Bro.. think you got mixed up EZE and I were talking about DLH and SSM being equal.:yep

Cotto's comp has nothing to do with it. And after what I added to you're quote, overall record, and the head to head victories?
SSM is clearly the better fighter.

I have to disagree. DLH is the better fighter than Shane.

Althought you argue he beat him twice. Roy Jones lost twice to Tarver but does that make Tarver a better fighter? Maybe H2H against him but not overall.

    Consider THE SOURCES!

Second? That would have been at 160 and DLh never belonged there despite the Hop's fight.

Wright clamored for sometime previous at 154 about DLH and it always fell on DEAF EARS. In fact, it wasnt long after that point Wright signed with GBP.

Funny, that SSM never had that problem.:good

But he hasnt fought Quintana yet, so according to you he hasnt proven anything since you (not me) consider Margarito to be nothing but a hype job. Seeing as PW won a very close decision in which he took more punishment from this "hype-job" than he delivered . . .whats that say about your theory???

Either Margarito is a "hype job" and PW aint much better .. . or Margarito is a top fighter and a real threat and PW is a slightly better boxer and bigger threat. . . YOU CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. :deal

Tarver/Jones isnt an equal comparison. SSM beat the Golden Girl PRIME FOR PRIME and became the first to CLEARLY HAND DLH a loss.

Like I said head to head and overall record prove SSM is the better fighter.

Wrong, it would of been at 154. And the source is fine. Like relentless said, someone else proved it and provided a link or whatever.
