they could make a deal with NY State and have it at Yankee Stadium. Major companies like HBO have threatened to move their offices to NJ to get tax breaks from NYS, the promoters can do the same here. Offer them the fight for tax breaks, they will probably stand a good chance to get it.

well i don't know the ins and outs of NY and how that could work. i just hope that it could. we don't get fights this big that often. it would be pretty sweet.

well from what i understand its being looked at as a possible venue. i doubt if manny would want to go to a huge venue in michigan and i doubt pbf would want to go to a huge venue in manny's country but assuming they would be up for the idea...any big spots in either of those places??

The tax system in New York will mean this fight wont happen there (according to Arum) strangely he hosts many of Cotto's fights there

dunno what the difference is $$$ wise between hosting a fight at MSG and Yankee Stadium. You would think a fight like this would be a boon to a city. i understand that casinos in vegas pay to have fights held at their casinos while venues like this make you pay to have your fight there but it seems that something could be worked out.

"The answer is, no state taxes in Texas and a ton of them in New York and New Jersey. According to Arum, the fighters could lose more than $12 million in taxes if the fight takes place in New York and slightly less if it winds up in the Meadowlands.
Arum said that between New York State and city taxes and a tax levied on nonresident independent contractors performing in New York, the fighters – and the promoter – would lose 15 percent of all revenue generated by the bout."

i think the problem is for Pacquiao since hes not a US citizen..
