Sorry, Pavlik. Bute is just too good.

That statement is absolute nonsense. If it were true, Pavlik would have given up against Zuniga, McKart, and Taylor X 2, and he would not have won rounds 5-8 against Martinez. Think before you type.

props to Pavlik for taking the fights. bute is almost a clone of Martinez, but I don't see him as fast or as defensively sound as Martinez. Still, Bute is a hard puncher, but I really don't think Andrade or Miranda are on the level Pavlik might be. Pavlik never was a one punch ko artist, but he needs to stop stalking his opponents and start cutting off the ring. He's lost his killer instinct doesn't feint, doesn't throw the jab enough, like I've said before and I'll say it again, he's in badly need of a new trainer. if he doesnt ditch loew Pavlik isn't getting anywhere. Bute is just as strong as Pavlik and I won't be surprised if he will stop him in a one sided beating.

Bute's style is wrong for Pavlik. Arum must want to end his career. Hell, the Martinez fight was wrong for Pavlik. Bute by TKO or KO.

I'm glad you took my advice regarding your grammar. It is much easier to read now.

As I said before you only post here for Pavlik topics you are not a boxing fan nor do you have any real insight beyond "insider" information on Pavlik. This has nothing to do with Pavlik and everything to do with you. Your presence here has even divided the Pavlickers. As far me being an idiot b/c I think I know you...ummm yeah I actually do know you, ma'am. But regardless of your childish insults I will stick to a certain code of honor.

I wouldnt say he gave up against Hopkins, but was beaten to the punch, with Martinez it could be he was heavily weight drained and couldnt pull the trigger.
Im not doubting Bute will probably win, but just saying Bute was lucky not to get stopped in his first fight with Andrade and that Pavliks resume with an undefeated J Taylor and Miranda who was favoured to beat him at that time, is probably slightly better, and if Pavlik can get back to throwing lots of punches again, like he did against Miranda he might give Bute trouble

Pavlik's resume is better than Bute's, no one will argue on that I think. It's just that Pavlik looks to be different than when he fought at his best. We still don't know what is caused by his weight problems. Bute, on the other way, is better than the first fight against Andrade, a fight not relevant to judge him, because there was a rematch and we know the result.

You're obviously the man on that front.

Most of your time seems to be spent on Pavlik and looking at your avatar would lead one to believe that you're a hater.

Im hearing you, but you still cant pretend Butes first fight with Andrade didnt happen, it could be he wasnt prepared for the pressure Andrade was going to bring first time round, went back to the drawing board and did something better next time round, but it still happend.
Your right Pavlik dosent seem the same, but maybe this was weight problems. I guess we will find out when Pavlik has filled into the new weight

I've never picked Pavlik over Bute because I do have a pretty high opinion of Bute. However, that does not change the fact that in Bute/Andrade II Andrade basically hit Bute in the left hand with his chin!! He was hurt at the time, but I don't think that even a hurt KP would stumble in to that punch the way Andrade did.

for this to happen then it would mean that either:
    a. bute was hyped up
    b. bute had a VERY bad night
    c. lucky punch or something along those lines by pavlik

i don't think "a" is the case as he beat andrade, miranda, bika which are no pushovers and did it pretty convincingly.they're no elite boxers but still not by any means bums.
pavlik will always have a punchers chance and bigger upsets have occured (see lennox-rahman or tyson-douglas) so that's always a possibility.

but all in all, from what pavlik's been showing lately and what bute has, i would be VERY surprised and VERY upset is he managed to get the win.
