Bute's gonna beat him. I can't see Pavlik winning this one.

 

He is going to get slaughtered. Atleast take an easier guy not one of the top guys.

Pavlik is never going to be on the top again and they just have to accept that. He is in the same situation as Hatton once he cant effectively make his weight anymore he isnt the type to move up well because he needs that size advantage over his opponent, his style is based on it. He can beat some lower level guys at 168 but putting him in there with Bute is a disaster. Bute is more skilled and is bigger what is pavlik going to be able to do if he just got messed up by a smaller skilled guy like martinez

 

R u nuts, bute is 3 x the talent and boxer then Martinez could hope to be and he has more fire power which he has he can sustain for 12 rounds.. Pavlik can only hope that bute is merciful and stops him early so he does not have to endure a beating.

 

Pavlik should take this fight. What use would it be warming up against cans. Look what that did for him when he stepped up for the Martinez fight.

Arum is really just cashing out. After seeing what Martinez and his south paw style did to Kelly why in the world would he put him in with Bute? How is this looking after your fighters best interest?

I don't think PAvlik will be blown out here. We might see a motivated Pavlik at a weight he will be more comfortable, and against someone who can trade with him for a brawl.
